yeah all this may be great, but who is to say if the police pull you over and they scan it, well it is a computer and it is always right. so when people clone this could it be more "trusted"
I mean they are already proposing chips so you can breeze through airport checkin, but how long before that is cloned and people buzzword("terrorists") can breeze on through...
trusting technology to solve all problems is a problem
as bad as it sounds. You add browser hijacking, security holes in MS OS's volla!
MS needs to unhook the browser from the OS, i think this turned out to be a major assbiter for them now. Becuase it is so intertwined they have allowed the holes to become easily exploitable.
maybe they will finally rewrite IE and allow for it to be better? but lets not cross our fingers
I would love to see everyone voting, it should be mandated, or there should be atleast tax breaks for voting. our current set of elected officals are so off base it is sad
not to mention the fact they pander to the elderly, the young of this country are screwed, we are going to be left with amazing bills due to our parents generation, and who knows if we will still have a country
If the only reason you are going to vote is because a scantily clad animated character convinces you to, i question your ability to make an informed decision.
i would love to see everyone in america vote, but the fact is people in this country are to inept to see our own demise
Well I was personally blamed for problems with our last project because i was "fresh out of college," yet the real issue was i challanged our PM, I asked a lot of questions becuase i wanted clarification.
And when the project fell flat on his face, the fingers were pointed at us, becuase we were 'hard to work with' and 'lacked experience'.
Yet when business rules were asked for, even begged for, they didn't have the answers. Only after we finished coding did they start coming up with a majority of the business rules, becuase they were things they didn't 'think of'
But because we asked those questions we were considered idiots.
Same issue for me. My boss slated the project for 3.5 months. the PM wanted it done in 1, with integration and testing. So we pushed through in one month. And of course the fingers were pointed at us becuase we 'didnt do a good job at testing'
Then again, he also oversold the project to the client and promised things a web app couldn't deliver, but we managed to pull it out of our asses
Or were they worried about it crashing? [/obvious]
But it is pretty amazing, maybe we will have (somewhat) cheap airfare into space in our life time. Now that would be something cool.
Plus it will put down travel time to the opposite side of the globe, instead of 20 hour flights 2 hour flights in sub-orbit, amazing
I agree 100%
I certainly make enough to buy whatever CD's I desire. But the fact is, what they cost is not what they are worth. Would you spend $40,000 on a Honda Civic when they are worth $15,000. of course not that is silly.
When the Music Industry and MPAA realize this we will all be buying more music.
And those new MPAA commericals piss me off
I mean who would buy a 40gig iPod and spend $10,000 to fill it up with MP3's on iTunes?
But the real point is, music is still over priced, $.99 for a song, again still is over priced.
And then again, so is windows XP Professional @ $199.99...
Then again, MS does allow for a certain 'level' of priacy to go on so they do remain the dominant OS.

Just as long as you aren't sending pr0n, he will allow it
There are good and bad points to it.

Hi, I am Troy McLure, you may remember me from such electoral films as...

to get people to vote, obviously they don't need to be voting.
An informed public is far better than one that just votes to vote
15 years it will be affordable. i think branson is exploring it becuase he sees a future in this for flights.
would you pay and extra few thousand to forgo a 25 hour flight to Australia and have a 2 hour flight in sub-orbit?
I usually drink a beer becuase it helps me sleep Guinness > *.beer

Let them start passing legistlation on SPAM and spyware. These are more relevant to myself.

President Bush vows to find the terrorists responsible for blowing up Mt. St. Helen
DoS attacks against companies that actually use spam to be promote their products should become manditory
Branson is only funding his Virgin space ship line becuase he wants 2 hour flights from Australia to london instead of 20+ hour flights :o
