Why is this still making news, it has already been found out that the OpenDocument Foundation, Inc. has nothing to do with the OpenDocument Alliance...the real organisation behind ODF; so I ask again why this is still making news?!
I would love to see the 4th edition finally allow you to multiclass properly, yes it can be done in earlier editions, but it is not the easiet thing to do. I love being able to be a Warrior-Mage/Warrior-Wizard, etc...but as I said it's not that easy to do. On another note, would love to see MMORPGs allow you to do the same thing as well, as far as I know...none allow you to yet.
Remember about 10yrs ago, GeoCities tried this same thing...I believe this was just before or just after Yahoo! bought them. The users will just cry foul again, or sue...either way, my content on their system belongs to me!
Well, now I know one of the reasons why I didn't have sex as a teen...wonder if it's the same reason that I cannot get sex as an adult; although my theory has always been women do not like me; and since I've been trying to get a first date for 20yrs my theory seems more sound!
The problem here is, that we have been assuming since SETI started that an alien species would be using radio waves, if in fact they are more advanced then us who said they ever used radio, etc. It's just like when people said the Earth is the centre of the solar system, same thing is happening here.
Has anyone seen the MP3 players from Pogo! Products, specifically their RipDrive (http://www.pogoproducts.com/ripdrive.html)...they do have an 80GB version but it's not listed on their web site but is listed on ThinkGeek!
But would a sports inspired MMO actually work, it's easier to create the RPG-type MMOs...but maybe someone needs to try and start up a project about this.
Tim Bray is a very helpful man, when I was trying to design a programming language based on XML he answered a few of my questions...unfortunately because I couldn't get any Developer support it went nowhere!
Yes, I've read the article, but do you think this can really work...I am not against or for patents especially in this day and age of computers when innovation is key; yes I could see their use during the early 20th century but are they worth it now?!
In my opinion the browser wars are good for innovation, and if they are starting again M$ will have to really innovate or their browser will die...yes I currently use Mozilla Firefox, Opera, and M$IE; but Opera had first what Mozilla and Mozilla Firefox have started to get over the last year.
Originally, if you didn't read and just kept hitting "Next" you'd end up installing the spyware/adware...if you read the installer it would give you an option not to install the adware/spyware; but now the option not to install it [adware/spyware] is more pronounced so everyone chooses not to install the stuff!
I wonder if the FTC will try and go after the creator of Messenger Plus!, the addon for MSN Messenger...seeing as how it gives you the option of installing Adware/Spyware when you install the program; the thing is I don't see it happening at all since the law is only good for the USA?!
I really hope this will be a good movie, you remember how bad some of the early video game to movie adaptations have been...heck even with the ones over the last few years haven't been all that good because like usual Hollywood has taken major liberties with the properties!
You know, it's a good thing I am Canadian, we don't have to deal with the various **AAs...and according to what I heard recently -- but have not checked into myself -- is that we [Canadians] are allowed to share files online due to a recent ruling.

Well, it seems like were in for another miSCOsoft all over again...!

Out of the 109 comments on this story, I am surprised no one tried to access Microsoft's LiveDrive, which you can do here:
http://drive.live.com/
You get the Live.com login page, and it logs you in...but it's a completely blank page, if you view source you get a blank document as well.
Just because something has been around longer, does not always mean it is better...!
I've read through all the previous posts, but have yet to see anyone ask this!
How is it an American company can try and sue a companies using an _American law_ when most -- if not all of those companies -- are not in the US..?!

I did a quick scan of the article, guess I missed that...oh well; sh*t happens!
GPL the thing, but how will this compete with the Ogg Theora codec?!?!

What if this goes against a country's laws, if a country has laws in place of something like this?
For the Canadians reading this, you may want to check out CanFLI Network
