Hear hear. The reason why unions was created was to get respect for the work the people did and a a peice of the action that they helped to create. You do that and unions are unneeded. Unions have helped to make sure that we have a better working enviroment today and that we let our kids be kids and not coal miners.

The unions today have become somewhat lazy and bloated (like Vista) and what we need is something slimmer and better (Like Ubuntu). They shouldnt tell us what to do (like Microsoft) but let us tell them what to do (like OpenSource).

I do support some union actions like the Writers guild strike. They have every right to get money for what they create but moving in like the mob on some companies I do not approve of.

It would be better if Firefox and all the rest would use XULRunner too so there would be some consistance between the projects so it doesnt result in several versions of XUL and I have to have all of them installed at the same time.

You call it satire, I call it racism. Danes are a racists people. More than I felt in other countries. They have racists laws. You must be over 24 to marry a foreigner but only 18 to marry a Dane for example. Now what kind of stupid law is that? My sister lived in Denmark for a while and even she, who is a blond and blue eyed Swede with an even blonder and blue eyed Norwegian husband, felt that the Danes did not welcome them. I have been to Denmark now and then and when I help her move the Danish landlord acted like an asshole commenting about Swedes and how "low" we are and how "whipped" we Swedish men are just because I was helping cleaning the floors.
If you knew Danes or been there or lived there and heard all the news we up here hear then you know that there is a reason why they have a racists party in their parliament. They didn't publish this because they have along history of satire (which is not longer or better than anyone else). Its not all about freedom or press and things like that. You all know this more or less out of context. They Danes are not a freedom loving people. They torture just as good as anyone else. They have no quarrel voting for rascists parties. They do not want too many foreigners in their country.
And hey, we Swedes got some of that trouble too. Danish-Swedish companies are being boycotted in middle east and we share offices for embassies in various middle eastern countries.

So its far more worse to violate copyright than to break the law now?

I say, go after the big fish and let the small fish go. It would be more worth it to get rid of the big ones instead of the small ones. 1 out of 3 CD's sold is a copy (IFPI's numbers. not mine). When you sell CD's for billions of dollars every year you lose billions of dollars too thanks to the all the counterfeit CD's sold but yet the record companies only sue the small fish and make absolutely no way near what they could make by getting rid of the big fishes. Sometimes the raid a factory or two but its not at the level like how they are pursuing kazaa users. Why?

My theory (like you thought you wouldn't have to listen to that huh?) is that the movie companies and the record companies are all behind this scheme because that way they get to keep all the money and don't have to pay a cent to their, IMHO already overpaid, artists. Its all about money. You can argue how much you like about other reasons but when in the end, its all about the money and don't try to make it out like RIAA is only in it for the good of the people because that is complete bull. They are in it for the money and nothing else.

The biggest city, Stockholm, has about 1 million or so people (I think its a bit more). California has about 35 million people so there is a heck of a lot more people per square meter there than in Sweden.

Now, tell me. Why can the Swedes get 100MBit when you cant get that in California???? It is NOT because Sweden is more densely populated than California because that is bullshit.

That is what this is really about. The right to think what you want without others forcing their will on you. Its not about the question about what human life is. We will NEVER be able to solve that question because we have just as many answers as people. Its only about if you have the right to force you opinion on others.
My answer is No, you don't. Every man has the right to make up their own mind and make their own choices in life. You can think whatever you want and do whatever you want but that doesn't mean you have the final say in everything and that doesn't mean that your opinion is the right one.
