He said in the recent TWiT podcast that they're going to run adspace within the show for tech companies to help offset the cost as well as accepting donations and such.
I'm excited about this.
Having watched the hilarious Pure Pwnage, I also gained a lot of interest in on-demand webshows. Really, I have very little interest in regular TV, outside of re-runs or shows that come on late night once a week. I think people, working independantly, have a much greater capability to make something with niche appeal moreso than corporations that pop out crap after crap thinking it'll appeal to anyone. (see: every other show Fox has put out in the past four years)
I heard that TigerDirect is going to allow anyone free use of the word "tiger," but only after you pay in full for it and wait 4-6 weeks for the mail-in rebate.
I use VLOS and I love it. My first response to this was going to be about Vidalinux. Its installation goes really smoothly and it installs everything a Linux newbie would need to run it as a simple desktop machine. It's nice.
Just because they called it the Bio Force Gun in three (in order to give more fear and less laughs) doesn't mean it's what they've always called it. It's always been one of those public secrets. I really doubt the game devs would dispute its original title.
Hmm. You saying that it's still multi-windowed bothered me. The idea of a single container window is what got me interested in this story, but since it's just a rearrangement of windows I've suddenly lost interest.
I agree completely with you. News channels are just exploiting tragedy in people's lives for ratings. Every day, you hear about drug busts, murders, suicides, fires, and thefts on the news right around the time many kids get home from school on local channels. Rarely will you ever see something good and uplifting on the news. With news, it's on every local channel - so even kids without cable or satellite can drink in every bit of this. With games, it's behind locked glass behind a register with a specific rating that is enforced by law. It is up to the parents to say what is right and wrong with games. If anything, the news media should be getting attacked.
It probably wouldn't be such a problem if hackaday hadn't been promoted here back whenever it was, but anymore it seems like a broken record between two of my home tabs.
funny thing is, my library has been carrying pc games for a while, and their stock includes (but is in no way limited to) half-life, max payne 2, unreal tournament 2k4, and a lot more.
not even sure if they card you to take them out, either.

okay, you folks seem to be flipping out because this was posted. few of you have heard of mc chris. many of you don't like his music. however, would it kill you to just keep your mouth shut rather than bitching? "a website in the interweb posted a story regarding something I know nothing about! geek attack!"
question for mc: how long is the tour gonna be? and have you had any more talks with labels?

not a hard concept to pick up on, considering people have done nothing but been complete assholes towards mc this whole thread and bashed rap.
you came a little late.

the one geek to out-geek them all.
mc is one of the greats of nerdcore. listen to some of his free tracks at his website. "geek" isn't all about linux, guy.
Hate to say it, bud, but G4TechTV is just as bad as the rest of the people you're talking about. Do you remember the article about Comcast's new move to get rid of TechTV? It mentioned that they're making a new show called Girls Gone Wired, only related to the original segment on Unscrewed by title. The theme of the show is showing hot girls that play video games.
And, as was already mentioned, G4 has its own awards show, which I hardly remember being "classy."
The only way gamers will be viewed respectfully is if MTV execs stop trying to campaign to them, because right now, "MTV generation" and "gamer" are almost synonymous.

What about the patent Sony has on the Matrix-esque technology?

If the spif-offs have a story at the same level of quality as KOTOR, I would be ecstatic.

This is for serious? I do believe this will go down as one of the greatest incidents of branding going a bit too far.
You are a king amongst men. Thankee sai.

Evolution of code is pretty cool, but it could be improved upon with a few motors that actually build little Lego figures. I for one welcome our etc.
they are also at the ideal level of thespianism and originality that few other shows can match, save for electric playground or filter. OH WAIT
