The way that chess games work is they check n ammount of moves into the future. With each iteration into the next move it splits off into a massive tree of moves. As an example, the first iteration has 10 potential moves, the next has 100 and the next has 1,000
With Go as an example there may be 100 potential moves on the first iteration and then 10,000 and then 10,000,000 The number of potential moves grows way faster then in chess.
that there are other options out there. I get about $50 a pop to clean spyware and malware that gets installed through IE. How else am I going to feed my family if they start using something else!
I would take the speech to text over those darn laptop keyboards with the mouse pad perfect placed so you brush over it all the time when your typing and erase the last paragraph you were writing.
You could always use lotus notes (http://www-306.ibm.com/software/lotus/) work order tracking extension. Although the program has become a behemoth of lag in its current incarnation its actually quite effective at keeping track of whats going with who. Although I don't think its the free open source software solution you are looking for.
The desktop I use at work is a 500mhz p3 with 128mb of ram running windows XP, Lotus notes runs like a dead turtle on it. Although on the 2ghz p4-m with 2gb of ram laptop (which I use most of the time anyway) it runs fine.
Lotus notes use to be such a nice and well optimized dos program.....

A lot of us are stuck on company laptops/desktops where we are forced to use windows.
...But im going to have nightmares about that video for years to come.
With 384kbit down and 256kbit up you can't have a decent quality video/audio chat with those damned webcam sluts!
I can't wait until they start banning people from walking on the street or sidewalks.
Check out Maxima, my Calculus 2 teacher tries to give it a plug in class about every week. Its actually very powerful. http://maxima.sourceforge.net/ http://www.ma.utexas.edu/maxima.html

can you put autorun.ini (same as the kind on a cdrom) on a hard drive and have it execute when you put the drive in another computer?
It might be time to switch back to the most stable and secure OS ever.
I cant stand trying to use speech to text, but I do like the ability to give commands, If nothing more than for fun.
