  1. Re:Poor 360 Sales Why It Took So Long on CoD 2 Hits 1 Million Sold · · Score: 1

I haven't bought COD2 but I'm pretty much set with Oblivion, Battlefield 2, Marble Blast, and Geometry Wars. Though I wonder how many copies of the Live Arcade games they have sold. Spending $5 for GW is a no brainer.

  2. Re:No HD? on No Patch for Dead Rising Fans · · Score: 1

After buying a 50" DLP HDTV a couple weeks ago I'm sold on it. 480p/720p/1080i DLP TV and an upconverting DVD recorder for $1550 was well worth it for me. The 360 on it is just icing on the cake. I think the newer 5th/6th gen DLP TVs are the way to go for the 360.

  3. No HD? on No Patch for Dead Rising Fans · · Score: 1

I thought more people on Slashdot of all places would have an HD TV. If you have a SDTV why even pick up a 360 in the first place? I thought I would skip the 360 and just get a Wii but I ended up buying a 50" DLP TV. After a couple days of playing Xbox on it I really wanted to see what HD games would look like. 360 looks great on the TV but I end up spending most of my time playing Geometry Wars and Marble Blast. When I'm not playing Oblivion anyways (which makes me happy I bought both an HDTV and a 360 since it runs like a slug on my computer).

Wow they really did with me. I was set not to get a 360 a couple months ago, but now with a new 50" dlp to play it on and announcements like this they are swaying me. I think I'll have a 360 real soon. Catan and Carcassonne will be great to have on Live.

I watched the HALO training shows on the military channel a couple days ago and there's no way they'd be training people to be combat ready in 20 days on a HAHO jump with a fixed wing. Wouldn't seem like the amount of effort involved with be worth it. One of the coolest and craziest wing suit jumps I've seen: http://my.break.com/Content/ViewContentPublic.aspx ?ContentID=1OZuGdvMCdS0QN4GgCVS3A%3D%3D&ContentTit le=Soul%20Flyers&ContentURL=http%3A%2F%2Fview.brea k.com%2F98895

We have places here like Amazing Jakes that has a bowling alley, laser tag, large arcade, lots of rides, wall climb, etc. All kinds of pizza, pasta, salad buffet. $20 for all you can eat food and an unlimited pass for rides, laser tag, and wall climbs. Hard for a small old style arcade to compete with that. There's a only a few left here in the malls. Most of them don't have arcades anymore.
