I think it works out because you'd be sitting in traffic, not driving. There would be no drag.

    Heh, just thought I'd ask.

Maxthon IMO is the best. I've never had a problem with IE, but I guess it's because I know what to look out for.

Are you talking about the close button on the tab bar? Maxthon does have that. Actually it has "close tab" and a "close all tabs" button. (Right click the maxthon window and enable the System Bar)

Or you can just double click a tab to close it. That's a big seller for me. I hate having to right click just to close a tab.

Maxthon also has the ability to open the last page that was viewed or if the brower crashes you can resume all of the paegs your were looking at!

Just a question. Why not turn off active X and scripts if you want IE to be more secure??

I LOVED having a laptop for the last year of high school (purchaced it myself). I hated carrying around 100+ sheets of jumbled paper.

With a notebook I was able to organize everything very easily and it also helped me complete my homework and hand it in while I was still in class. (lol, I had one teacher that didn't like to receive homework back early)

I say that if you can get your kid a laptop for grades 10-12 it can be very very helpful. As long as your kid isn't the type to play solitare in class.

I have used my blackberry as a personal device for about a year. I get around a week of battery life on my 7280. If I browse the net and download files it still lasts around 3-4 days. (I have 3 months unlimited right now)

I'm on Rogers in Canada and my plan is only $45. (150min anytime calling / .5MB of data) It's enough data for getting email and checking movie times/weather once in a while.

Cell phone companies are lame. Where are 500min phone plans for $20-$30??.

Well I say welcome to the learning process. You'll know better next time. You're going into a war zone without a shield??!! Its not all microsofts fault, that hackers and virus writers will be around even if MS isn't. They're are the ones to blame. "The McAfee site claims a whopping 91 percent of PCs are infected." Is this counting cookies as spyware? "Mac owner everywhere on the planet simply looks at all this viral chaos and spyware noise and Microsoft apologia and shrugs." I use Windows, And I look at all the "chaos" and shrug too.
