    You make a good point... I suppose the ultimate answer lies in optical perception and how each method 'feels' to a user.

    I've not RTFA, but if it uses doubled frame-rates a la 1080i, so each eye sees both even and odd row lines over the two frames together, then this would count as HD. Not as good as 1080pHD, maybe, but still HD.

    Thinking about it, the post-mortem temperature curve would be non-linear, surely? Alive (warm) -> Dead (cold) -> Dead & Rotting (warmish)

    Of course, by the time the hands are rotting, there wouldn't need to be much in the way of prying....

    CRTs have a warm fuzziness that smoothed over the lo-res, high-contrast display inputs and made them look washed-out like 70s TV/photography. You can emulate that to some extent on digital displays, but...

    Also, I realise that this would have little to do with OLED similarities, except perhaps by association.

    Same model phone here, and while I have never sent a message to the wrong person (that I know of) it often takes me to a random thread instead of the one I selected.

    Everyone's heard all the rumours of the Automotive Industry crushing amazing engine innovations that would give amazing efficiency. If this was true, and with the current climate making such things very desirable for both the consumer and public image, one would expect to see a startling number of such inventions coming out in a short space of time.

    Are we seeing this? I don't think we are. Which makes this comment unprovocative and pointless!

    Have you tried discussing your ideas in English that is intelligent and easy-to-follow, discursive rather than pedagogical, and isn't bludgeoned to death with myriad tiny hammers of stupid stylistic choices? You might find people don't immediately discount you as a tool!

    I am not impressed.

    People's lives change (or not) with and without Jesus, with and without Christianity, and with and without religion. It happens in other cultures, it happened thousands of years ago, and will continue to happen long after Christianity is forgotten.

    It's not evidence for anything but the fact that people's lives change, with or without catalysts that are or are not objectively real.

    The fact that you think your particular belief, and its object, is somehow special is galling arrogance.

    As another Desire owner, I can say that I've ecstatically happy with it. Even though I've had it two weeks, and had been a little disappointed with the screen's performance in sunlight, I have only just realised that the switch for screen brightness in the TaskPanel widget is in fact trinary rather than binary, and I've had the thing on half-brightness almost all this time....

    Sorry if I'm being dense here, but the way I read this the player 3-bets A[J-K] and merely calls A[T-2]. So, when he 3-bets and an A lands, how would you know he doesn't have an A when we know he could have A[J-K]?

    That's assuming that the tech will not have improved by 'tomorrow'; what you buy now will surely be cheaper and better in the future, especially with a large demand funding research and driving competition.

    In a Platonic fashion, I tend to think that these ideal models do represent reality -- in that they are the limits of what reality is tending to. What reality is doing is complicated, but can be expressed elegantly and meaningfully as echoes of the process it is ghosting.

    A fern leaf may not be a true fractal, but up to a point reality is behaving fractally. It is pretty difficult to describe it in any other way.
