It does seem like a lot.
In 2012 someone ran a scaper on tpb to grab all of their magnet links, it came in at under 100MB compressed. Of course this didn't include the comments or the.torrent files.

I agree to some extent, however, in reality, with credit cards offering cashback and other rewards, it works out costing me less to use a credit card than it would to use cash. I hate that Visa and MC are getting rich from this but by protesting and stopping use of my card while everyone else carries on, I end up subsidising their discounts. The only way I can see to get around this would be for everyone to protest together or for all merchants to implement credit card surcharges.
This whole Microsoft / Secure Boot situation is outrageous, it should never be allowed to be implemented, linux distro's should not be having to get anything signed by Microsoft. Hopefully some judge someday will see sense and kill it and also force Microsoft to carry positive mentions of other OS's in their advertisements in a similar fashion as the Apple / Samsung tablet ruling.
TFA mentions that the ads are only for audio calls, not video calls. So not all that intrusive. In audio calls you can minimise the skype window or have a different window in the foreground on top of it.
Good point. It makes me think that this will make congestion at the stations a lot worse with people staying on platforms longer to browse and upload photos etc.
When security measures involve trying to keep people quiet about its flaws, I think it's time to accept the security is broken!
Also, this paragraph of the UK Card Associations complaint letter attempts to downplay the effectiveness of the hack, looks to me like it's just there to deter anyone considering trying it.
Fortunately, the type of attack described in the research is difficult to undertake and is unlikely to carry a sufficient risk-reward ratio to interest genuine fraudsters. And, in the unlikely event that such an attack were to take place... the banking industry's fraud prevention systems would be able to detect when such an attack had happened.
Divx and Xvid offer very good results, but IMO it's almost never good enough - even spread out over 1400MB (2 CD's). Dark scenes come out poorly with a lot of obvious grey banding. Fast motion and camera pans turn out jerky and in my opinion it detracts from the overall viewing experience. If you watch the original source side by side with the compressed version the differences are blatant.
The $249 would be better spent on a DVD Writer (especially since they are so affordable these days), several hundred blank DVDs and a copy of DVD Shrink.
>> Over time, the company will learn your behavior. If you routinely switch to the latest tweets, Twitter will default you to them.
I'm fed up of these algorithms trying to guess what I want. Just implement a setting and I will decide!
Why not remove the 30-second limitation and start competing with YouTube? The timing would be perfect with so much discontent over YouTube.
He was taking into account the transaction fees.
Many of these apps are designed for larger tablets not just for small screens. Many newer laptops are touch screen. I think this may be pretty useful.
You can take up the trial and then cancel it 2 minutes later, you will still get the four free months.
Where has the page that shows all the takedown notices and legal challenges (and their responses) gone?
NT4 and Windows 2000 were fairly decent. Windows XP was just a new skin on top of Windows 2000. After that it all went downhill.

Same here! I thought this was going to be about Gnome-Do which I stopped using a long time ago in favour of Synapse.

Surely this will be the year of Linux on the tablet.
The link you provided quotes £33.87 paid per gram of scrap gold. Current market rate is around £34.75 so it's not that bad at all.
They really don't think of the Xbox as hardware?
No, they were thinking outside of the x box

Not the other way around as stated in the summary.

Yeah right!
Ryanair's CEO has the right idea, "beds and blowjobs" in first class! (In economy you have to pay for it) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfIY24BErBE
It's also there to protect your head from knocking against the back of the plane if you don't push yourself out hard enough.
OK, so with software it's a bit different - 'making' them is as simple as copying the data, insofaras manufacture goes.
