No, I actually know what Conservatism, Liberalism, and Libertarianism stand for.
As a disclaimer, I'm not associated with any of the major parties because they have too many things I don't like at all. Routinely on Election Day I vote for the individual candidate. I take the time to figure out who - in whatever party is running - I want to vote for. That means I vote for Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, Green Party, Working Families, and a host of other parties.
My personal views on the economy are a mishmash of Liberal, Conservative, and Libertarian ideas, as are many of my friends. However, regardless of my personal views, my exposure to Keynesian Economics still seemed to line up less with Liberal values and more with the others:)
I think I know why the US doesn't use diesel: generic USA-ians can't do math. Diesel costs about 25% more than gas near me. People see the increased cost, and don't want to pay it.
It's irrelevant to them that they're getting a 50-100% mileage improvement, which far outweighs the increased fuel cost, because they're paying more for the fuel in the first place.
What ID afficionado claims dinosaurs didn't exist? Every one I've met, and every creationist I've met, all believe they did. After all, the evidence of complete skeletons doesn't counter any belief in Intelligent Design or of a creator.
and you can't double the efficiency forever - from 10% you can go to 20% then to 40% then to 80% - then you can't double again - you'd be 160% which doesn't make sense
You ate corn's products, then: the sausage came from a pig most likely fed corn, and the chickens were fed corn to get your eggs, and the cows were fed corn to get the butter, buttermilk, and cheese.
... That one's easy: don't be in a situation where photos can be taken that put you in a 'compromised' state.
Right: no eyelashes batting - just a good, old-fashioned ass-whoopin!
That's the difference between New Yorkers and everybody else: if we're offended, we beat your ass. If we lose, at least we fought :)

the real question: does it surprise anyone that if only 27% of the respondents are Republicans that the results would show a bias towards Obama?
Funny, I had Keynesian Economics taught, and always saw it aligning with Conservatism and Libertarianism more than Liberalism.

... you haven't participated in hoagie food fights!?!

how is that different from the gamma radiation already extant in space?
that would he "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress"... as linked by the poster :)
The world *DID* end today. It's just that because it created a black hole, time has been frozen, so you didn't realize it was over.
You mean like Clinton?
Amtrak does this from VA to FL - they call it the "car train" :)

folks pay the prices Apple sets, and, unlike some other industries, there are other options
also - if you look at the revenue per employee HP doesn't hold a candle to Apple (10 times the employees, 4 times the revenue)
it's only about a third (~$40B), at the moment :)
thanks!
What version of Opera are you running that doesn't support GMail? I'm running 9.2.7, and it works fine.
Was it The Incredibles that had the One Man Band? Or was that Cars?
