Wow. Compare the growth of a mature company with that of a company in its infancy. You are quite the brilliant finance guy.
And when did Google get brought into the discussion. The point is Microsoft is not dying. They are a large company that is looking to maintain itself. Bring up Google's charts in another 10 years and you will see the same.
Bottom line is you cannot grow at a large exponential rate forever. At a certain point there are limits and the best you can shoot for is to maintain your dominance. The chart you showed indicated MSFT has been doing this well.
Mine comes from nearly a decade in a sedentary job, and way too much cola over same time period. What does that have to do with the speed of light, though?
Lighten up. I seriously doubt her numbers will be "official". She is running on a treadmill in zero G. It is publicity for the Boston Marathon, and likely good physiological research for NASA.
There is still several minutes worth of oxygen supply in the blood. CPR is a stopgap method. If you are just trying to keep someone alive for a few minutes until the ambulance arrives, then simply circulating the blood is enough. I agree, however, that getting more oxygen into the blood is going to be helpful if you have to keep the person going for a more extended period.
"Exercise generated blood flow to the dentate gyrus of the people, and the more fit a person got, the more blood flow the MRI detected, the researchers found."
However, if your gym looks like this one shown in the article, I think the blood will flow elsewhere
"Straightest building". Does this mean that the building is constructed to take into account the curvature of the earth? Granted this would only be less than half a meter (if I did the math right), but would seem to be important in this sensitive of a project.
It is called capitalism. IBM has a service for "tuned" search engines. Some organization was willing to pay IBM to tune it for paranormal searches. IBM took their cash.
I;'d argue it is a wonderful allocation of resources. Idiots gave their money away. Intelligent people will then get to use it for something more purposeful. What is wrong with that?
Because IT staffs across the U.S. and Canada (imagine the rest of the world that does business here also) have to certify millions of servers and workstations for a feel good piece of legislation. Instead of real efforts to wean us off foreign oil, we settle for this joke. And a significant percentage of my coworkers think it is great -- keeps them employed.
Put on your tinfoil hat. The more sane explanation is that Bush needed a way to say "he is saving the environment" without appropriating any money, and certainly not taking money away from an Iraq occupation. However, if you insist on brining Microsoft into every conspiracy, go ahead. But can I ask you give me the lithium you aren't taking? I can sell it for a few bucks.
You mean Microsoft charges to actually do work? Microsoft has a central place for their patches. If you want to do it yourself, go for it. If you haven't hired an IT staff, Microsoft won't do it for you for free.
The real question: Do you like George Bush for making this law and keeping IT drones employed? Or do you hate Bush for this law because it is a feel good law with no real impact except to create yet another moronic series of IT projects?
I was going to say "Yea but does it run Linux?", but I thought I could avoid the resulting -1 Redundant mod down to hell by saying "Yea, but are there Vista drivers for it?" instead.

No. It can't be. I've been hearing on Slashdot how Microsoft is a dying company for the past five years. And I believe EVERYTHING I read on Slashdot!
sounds like a UI design problem to me
Seriously! I mean it is like they put the instructions in some foreign language or something
Cordially Yours,
American
Why do we need this when we have Slashdot?
What is inertia, where does it come from?

No. Due to space shuttle delays they were unable to send it up for her. They did sent her an email to "print out" her own bib.

Wouldn't that make me a "structurist"?
A wall is not a building.

You have to squeeze out Converse? That's gotta hurt.

Brevity is the soul of wit. You fail it.
assuming they don't masquerade their bot as something else (like IE).
