Maybe I just misinterpreted this, but people always sound so negative to me, when Google yet again reveals some neat feature that seems to give the competition a run for their money.
You mentioned yourself:
GoogleMaps + AdSense + Google Local = Massive profits for Google and a fantastic customer experience.
It's all good, in my opinion. Google is, as far as I know, not a monopoly, not going to be a monopoly or even thinking about it. They're putting a product on the market, and fairly competing with it. If they can keep up the fantastic customer experience, I won't stop them personally.
It actually isn't all that fantastic to me, atleast not until they have some detailed maps of the Netherlands. It sure looks promising, though.;)
I did not move to Fedora because of the Windows XP dual boot issue.
Well, whatever that issue was, it's probably fixed. I only just moved to Fedora after the release of Core 3 and it detected my Windows XP install fine. (It just didn't call it "Windows", it called it "Other". But heck, they offer you to change that name in the installer; it's probably just some more trademark paranoia)
Hell yes, and don't forget Beyond Dark Castle either!
Both of these are on the Mac Garden aswell, but I'm not sure if I should link an abandonware site here.
The colored version from Delta Tao looks kinda cheesy if you ask me, but Return to Dark Castle looks promising. If they only just finished the damn game.:p
Yep, Arashi rocked. The full source code is floating about somewhere, and I tried to port it to Linux once. But that was just before ReiserFS turned bad on me.
ATI's drivers have been like this forever, even after they introduced the bi-monthly releases. In a couple of recent interviews, however, they said the next drivers, due for release sometime this month, are going to be tagged Catalyst aswell, whatever that means. But I'm expecting somewhat bigger improvements compared to the last couple of drivers we've had, and that's pretty much the last of my hopes.
That's starting to look more like a camera with a phone builtin than the other way around. It looks rather big. And it's not really a pretty design either.

There has to be someone out there dumb enough to sue over this...
I wonder how far back the logs go. With data like that the RIAA/MPAA could have a field day suing users.
I wonder how often they'll sue 127.0.0.1.

I'm going to accuse them of being modern day capitalists.
Sounds just as bad to me.
...before spyware becomes Google Desktop enabled!

Either way, might give it another shot sometime.

A random search on http://groups-beta.google.com/ gives me the same result.
That's not valid XHTML Strict, mister!
Try and convince Ballmer to admit that.
A Windows license is atleast half of that, or slightly less in case of the XP Starter Edition. But we're not going to see that in alot of countries.
Either way, it doesn't leave alot on the hardware side of things.
Sony Ericsson T105.. ;)
I'm one of those "First celly, no bullshit"-types.

Ofcourse you start with IE, it's always to most severe bug of them all.
So now we have to walk a full mile to knock that Bluetooth spammer out?
Great hack..
