You're Kidding right? I thought his books were quite good.
Or maybe I just thought better of Zahn's work after I read Kevin J. Anderson's novels.

Anderson is not only, by far, the worst of the Star Wars novelists, he is easily the worst published writer I have ever read.
He deserves far worse than death, if only for what he's done to the Dune universe.

You should look at IL-2 Sturmovik and it's expansions.

Graphics are exceptional for a 4 year old title and the physics model is second to none. The AI is passable but still limited as it uses the same flight model as the player.

The only area where it falls down is the somewhat limited dynamic campaign system (which is developed by a 3rd party). Online play is, however, supposed to be stellar.

Interesting, I've never heard of this before, at least not with printed CDs.

It seems that the more advances we make in storage technology the less reliable it becomes. I often wonder why we aren't concentrating on making storage more permanent rather than just continually increasing it's size. It seems as though it should be a huge problem.

That's funny. All my CDs from that time continue to work perfectly to this day. Some of my CDs have been scratched at certain times by certain ham-fisted individuals but it's nothing some toothpaste or silver polish can't fix.

You should perhaps treat your CDs with a bit more respect if you expect to get more life out of them.

You don't read slashdot very carefully, do you?

When reading at a threshold above -1, breaks in logic may occur as low scoring posts are filtered from view.

In this case you've obviously missed the post that was in fact being replied to.

Actually, what I think is a hoot is how long a thread got engendered from the GP's remark without you taking the hint that it was logically correct and you should probably look deeper before posting a critical remark!

Ah jes' luuuves irony, ah do , ah truly do!
