Your behavior is UNACCEPTABLE in society, and you can't seem to understand that.
What you failed to understand is that five user accounts got deleted by Slashdot management, two dozen DMCA takedown notices were sent to image websites, and a criminal complaint got filed with the FBI. Why? Because of UNACCEPTABLE behavior on Slashdot that isn't tolerated in society.
This from the asshole that threatens to shoot people who say things he doesn't like. Then when they make fun of him for making such stupid statements he threatens to sue them for... for him threatening to shoot them and them not taking it seriously.
Are you the asshat who threatened to report me to the Governor of California? Are you the asshat who threatened to report me to the IRS for making too much money from my side business?
Get off of/. if all you are going to do is constantly threaten other people and then pretend you are the victim. The only person threatening to shoot other people here is you. Just because you find that acceptable behavior doesn't mean ANYONE else does or has done the same to you.
Some asshat thought it was cute to link my name and website with a picture of two men having sex with each other on an image website. I filed a complaint with the FBI last night.
I thought the second amendment existed to overthrow the government when it became tyrannical?
Uh, no. The second amendment gives you the right to bear arms. If you want to overthrow the government, do it at the ballot box. Unfortunately, most Americans neither bear arms nor vote.
I notice you didn't mention what your business actually does, but then it probably doesn't matter a great deal.
That's done on purpose. When I updated my LinkedIn profile after getting hired, I got contacted by a whistleblower within two weeks. That caused a bit of concern after I reported the incident to security. I had to scrub the name from my profile and any resumes I had circulating. That was under Obama. These days Trump activists exercising their Second Amendment rights is a bigger concern.
Marissa Mayer should go to Uber. From what I've read in "I'm Feeling Lucky: The Confessions of Google Employee Number 59" by Douglas Edwards, she had a reputation for getting things done at Google. Success at one company doesn't always translate into success at a different company. Maybe her experience at Yahoo was fluke and she could do a U-turn at Uber.
Nice to see Trump continuing the IT initiatives started under Obama. I'm working on one of them. One the biggest challenges that we had was management looking at six different reporting systems and drawing different conclusions about the same data. It took a few years to consolidate the reporting systems into a single reporting system. Our security compliance went from 70% to 95%, and 99% is the new expectation moving forward.
I don't understand. You earn $55k in IT in Silicon Valley and are protecting our country from hackers. What else could a father want from his son?
My father died five years ago. Six weeks before he died from terminal throat cancer, I started a PC refresh project at a local hospital and my first day on the job was in the cancer ward. A tough situation all around. I think he would be proud that I'm the highest wage earner in our blue collar family and protecting the country from hackers.
My father found me to be a disappointment. He could never understood why I wasn't interested in cars and more interested in computers. As I would explained to him many years later, my older brother (not his son) was analog and I was digital.
You are right, but only if IT was truly a 9-5 job.
Depends on where you are in the food chain. My current government IT is 7-3 to avoid the crazy Silicon Valley commute. I'm also not allowed to work more than 40 hours per week. I haven't done overtime in 10+ years.
I'm not. The IT industry industry will have a 1M+ shortage of skilled IT workers by 2030, when all the baby boomers are retired, foreign workers have gone home, and young people are going into healthcare for the money. We're already seeing that for the construction trades.
Yeah no shit, if I submitted the gibberish you write I'd try to stay anonymous as well. So you *do* have some sort of shame.
Some editors won't provide feedback if they think that you had some success. If I come across as a noob, they're more likely to write something down on the rejection slip.
How you fail to see them as inter-related is beyond me.
When I submit my short stories to publications, I use a different email address, I don't provide a credit list and I don't link back to my website. My short stories are accepted or rejected on their own merits. Keep in mind that some of these editors are still using WordPerfect and haven't moved into the 21st century yet.
Honest question - what sort of crime do you imagine that this is? What statute, exactly, would give the FBI jurisdiction?
Copyright infringement and revenge porn.
[...] it might even make you SUPER mad...
I'm not mad. As a content creator, I have to protect my copyrights or risk losing them.
[...] but how does the FBI get involved?
FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center

It's unacceptable to sign up satire accounts? Society finds satire unacceptable?
Abuse is not acceptable. Copyright infringement is not acceptable. Revenge pornography is not acceptable.

You mean anti-Trump activists, right?
Nope. Trump supporters who are anti-government. Never mind that Social Security and Medicare are government programs.
Like the guy who decided to shoot up a baseball game?
I haven't heard that the shooter was anti-government.

My god, how dumb are you.
Not as dumb as you.
He died when he ate himself to death because he was trapped in his limo.
The new movie takes place before that happen, featuring a younger Pizza the Hut with fresh toppings.
I notice you didn't mention what your business actually does, but then it probably doesn't matter a great deal.

If douchebaggery was involved, all bets are off.

Does this mean we won't see Pizza the Hut's cameo in the new movie?
Sounds like my job, except the AI was a set of scripts.
Facebook can do that to you!
Even the best engineers in the industry can't fix stupid.

A new Slashdot with an AI to select relevant news stories..
Construction is booming and will continue to do so until banks run a foul in real estate again.
How long will the boom last without workers?

OK but why cram it in such a small space?
I build my systems small. For years it was mATX motherboards. I'm now switching to mini-ITX for future systems.
