Is it? Where does it stop "clearly" being your private property? A family I know owns 40 acres of land. Which part of their land would not "clearly" be their private property anymore? The area where it becomes woods? The area where they stop mowing their lawn and let the grass grow?

The problem with the word clearly is that it clearly does not define anything.

With that said, there are MANY bad martial arts schools out there.

I second this. Be very, very careful about your choice of martial arts schools. Most places will let you try out a few classes for free. Do it. Make sure you meet the head instructor, look at class makeup, look at what belt ranks are there. I tried out one school that had 30 students and not a single black belt. That may seem "hardcore," but it can get extremely frustrating if an instructor never promotes people. Additionally, when a school has no black belts, it may indicate that they don't stick around for various reasons.

Either way, I highly recommend martial arts as a form of working out.

  21. Re:Kudos goes to my bank then on Most Bank Websites Are Insecure · · Score: 1

Well, you could do it like this...

    1. First, record every failed and successful login attempt. When a person logs in, put, right at the top of the site, a listing of the last logins (failed or otherwise - if there's a failed one, make sure it's red or something along those lines). Include date, time and IP address.

    2. The locking mechanism isn't a bad idea, but it needs to be implemented in such a way that the person should rarely reach it. In fact, if someone tries to login repeatedly, it should take them longer, each time, to get a response back. (I am not a web developer, so this may be impossible.) So, for example, if I fail once, I get a response about the failure immediately. If I fail a fifth time, it'll take a looooong time before I either get a response back, or get to try again. After X amount of times, you get locked out completely.

    3. If someone does have to call the bank to get a password reset, a couple things should happen.

    a. The support desk should not give the password over the phone. Stupid idea. Instead, they need to confirm 3 RANDOM questions that have already been determined at setup of the account. Once these have been confirmed, the bank will then e-mail the new password to the registered e-mail with that account.

    b. If that person (surprise, surprise) forgot their e-mail password, or have a bad e-mail address registered, then a password is sent via snail mail to the registered address of the bank.

    c. If A and B don't work, the customer has to get a notarized letter or some such nonesense to get their password reset.

    Ah...perhaps I should clarify.

In the two cases this has happened to me, I got the person's voice mail and it was *obviously* a wrong number. So, I just hung up instead of leaving a(what would have been an awkward) message.

In the first case, the guy calls me back immediately. It was annoying that he even had the gall to do that.

In the second case, the person called me back two days later and then hung up as soon as I picked up the phone and said, "Hello."

Either way...how hard is it just to NOT CALL BACK? Who cares who called you? That's what annoys me about it.

In cases where someone actually picks up the phone (and I didn't realize I was dialing the wrong number - which tends not to happen too often), I apologize and then hang up. End of story.

Hope that clarified my position a bit.
