Their products don't insert anything. Those things are there by default, in plain sight, and can be easily removed or modified by the user without so much as a wimper from Apple.
Yes, when put that way, it does seem like a non-issue. However, we are not talking about any ol' website - this is Facebook, the second most visited websitein the world. We are also talking about the near-ubiquitous Flash player. If enough steam gets built up behind this movement to bypass Flash usage for displaying streaming media online, we could be looking at a rather different web landscape in the next several years.
I think your statement significantly oversimplifies the issue.
Woods proposes ways to make this 'meetingless' management effective
I'm not quite sure, but this seems to imply that 'meeting-full' management was effective. I will argue tooth and nail that the opposite is true. What I've found to be effective has been hands-off managers that move heaven and earth to make sure their people can get their jobs done quickly and efficiently. They don't buy into any single management methodology but instead adapt as the situation requires them to. If a meeting is necessary, they call a meeting. They don't force new tools or methods on you but instead ask if there are problems with current tools and methods and make sure those problems get corrected. Lead by serving.
I found the Opera Mini experience on my iPod Touch to be quite pleasant actually. It rerendered the pages I viewed just fine when switching from portrait to landscape views. Maybe the websites from TFA just suck.
After doing some research on the matter, I'm beginning to understand what you're getting at.
it's 4 dimensional objects projected into a 3 dimensional space projected onto a 2 dimensional plane.
It's very difficult to grasp the concept. As you stated, it's a 4 dimension concept presented in 3 dimensions which are just a visual manipulation of coordinates on a 2 dimensional plane. It's like trying to draw an n-dimensional array.
...giving you 'hover' semantics on top of touch and pressure.
How much more energy does it take to keep something hovering over a surface as compared to landing said something on the surface? I would imagine that fatigue (of the fingers, hands, forearms, and etc.) would be a much bigger problem should non-touch, gesture based navigation become widespread. Right now it's our wrists, imagine waving your arms in the air for 6 to 8 hours a day.
I would argue that the phrase "human race" is used just as much as "human species". I would then argue that both statements are true and not mutually exclusive. To be accurate though, the scientific term is "homo sapiens" not "humans". This would make it distinct from "homo erectus" or the several other variants. Thus, my final argument would be that the phrase "human species" is not correct usage of the word "human". Take this for what you will.
Actually, they're probably going off of the success of the Spore Creature Creator that they released in advance of the official game. I'll admit, I bought it for $10. I'll also freely admit that it was way more fun than the entirety of the full game. My kids and I got hours and hours of play out of creating silly creatures and making them dance and have babies.
Absolutely not. Call me old-fashioned, but I rather like having to look things up on my own. This seems like the logical progression of Clippy, "It looks like you're trying to read some text. Would you like help with..." God help us all.
Isn't this what your brain is for? I'm being completely serious. Should we not train our brains to handle interpretation, context analysis, and calling up associated imagery? What are we accomplishing by having our text think for us?

Best iPad hack yet.
To be able to run Flash, I have to buy something.
...that I gave that guy's blog a hit.
...because if there's one thing the human race doesn't need for survival, it's definitely water.

A child of nine could hack this system. Send someone to fetch a child of nine.

...no Firefox allowed in the App store, which is what would REALLY force multi-touch Safari to get more usable.
Hmmm...I've never used multi-touch Firefox. How is it?
...I was thinking PoC meant Piece of Crap which I thought was redundant when referring to a PDF.

Fascinating...
There's nothing here but some fancy 3D design.
I wonder if this is a slighting technique on Google's part.
For those of you who, like me, took a little bit to figure this out, Thursday is April 1; it's April Fool's Day.
Since 99% of people end up installing Flash...
Yes, according to Adobe. Somehow methinks that number is a bit skewed in Adobe's favor.
Good to know. Thanks!
Has MS updated their licensing to be "per-core" instead of "per-CPU"?

...that each registrant be photographed, and their business ID number be submitted...
That doesn't sound too terribly far fetched for a step to be taken by any number of governments including the UK and US.

This "news" article reads like the "pot circle" scenes from That 70's Show:
"Oooh, oooh, I know! First the planets form close to the sun!"
"No way! What if they then moved away from the sun and some of the planets ate the other planets!"
"You're blowin' my mind, man!"
"I could eat a planet right now. Anyone have a Mars bar?"
"Mars bar...Marssss bar...Marrrrrrrssssss bar...that's funny..."
