    I'd have to let that complaint slide, since they weren't consistent on that point even on the TV show.

    I think the technical manual hedges it by saying the 1:1 ratio only applies to Warp 8 and above.

    Superman's relationship with "the establishment" has varied depending on the writer.

    I'm thinking specifically of Frank Miller's depiction of him in "The Dark Night Returns". In that story he was literally a tool of the American government.

    They haven't even apologized yet. At least I haven't seen it. Though just saying "sorry" doesn't cut it anymore as thousands of computers are now vulnerable in the world due to their greed.

    I have no problems attributing Sony's action to callousness, stupidity, or lack of foresight, but I wouldn't go so far as to call their desire to see their CD's copied and illegally distributed "greed".

    I've read about this instance before, and I think it's attributable to ignorance on both the user and the developer. The software developer in this case knows the life of a human being is resting on his code, so it should have been nigh impossible to "trick" the software into allowing anything other than what the specs said it could do.

    I've enjoyed the "no barfing" sections of restaurants my whole life. Even if new tech reduced the disease-carrying risk of barf to 10%, I still don't want people barfing near me while I'm eating. Smoking, either.

    That was before the mints were wafer-thin...
