How about aluminum foil duct tape hats? Foil Duct Tape

  2. How can you DRM it if it is not Digital? on Old-Fashioned DRM Protects Harry Potter Book · · Score: -1

Old fashioned DRM? DRM a book? DRM = Digital Rights Management. Book = Not digital. You can't DRM a book sorry!

  3. Needs less bloat! on Preview of KDE 3.4 · · Score: -1, Troll

KDE has a lot of potential, but even KDE 3.3 is buggy, slow and bloated with useless features.

Instead of adding more feature, why not try to fix the one already added and make it more efficient and streamlined

  4. Re:How much to charge on Spyware Removal is Big Business · · Score: 0

I charge $50 to show up onsite for one hour and $30 for each additional hour. Spyware removal and scans usually take about 2-3 hours. If they will drop the box off, I charge $75 flat fee and they get a more exhaustive cleaning. (i can drink while the scans run)

All cleaning includes having adaware and spybot installed and spybot set to immunize. Also an install of firefox w/ flash, java etc and setting it to be the default browser, plus a brief instruction

I have been doing 2-3 boxes a week which makes for a nice side income. I would estimate that %90+ percent of average home windows users are infected, even people who are somewhat knowledgable windows users.

  5. BETA on Google Revises Usenet Search · · Score: 0

The Gmail Style is nice for Gmail, but not sure if I like it for google groups.

One thing for sure it is definately beta. Nothing seems to be working. getting either 404 or 500 errors for almost every page I try. (I don't beleive we could have slashdotted google)

  6. Re:Experience is key... on How Important is a Well-Known CS Degree? · · Score: 0

A degree may get you in the door, but knowing your job and doing it well will get you much farther. Bottom line is can you do what you're paid to do and can you do it quickly and correct. Thats what employers want to see. I you produce quality work consitantly then you will be rewarded for it by your employer / customer. Wheter you learned your skills from a 'well known' school or a book or on the job, it doesn't really matter in the end as long as you did learn them, and honed them.

  8. Re:Innovationless... on Music Downloading not Entirely to Blame · · Score: 1

Music is not about technology or new innovations in the technology of music. Music is about artistic expression. Technological innovations are not the deciding factor in making music that appeals to people. It has not all been done before. Each new artist will have a new vison and something new to say and new ways to expres their feelings. People that claim that the music of today is all crap or nothing new, need to broaden their horizons a little. There is lots of new music, different sounds, and definately lots of current topics to give rise to new artisitc expressions. I do agree that the music industry is not doing a good job promoting new and different sounding music, but a little initiative on the part of music lovers will revel a wealth of current music that is verry innovative, creative and enjoyable.

You can add all the data poins you want... Chemical Analysis, DNA check, etc, but it doesn't mater.

It still makes a digital representation of that data and sends it down the wire.

Fake the digital signal, no need for you or your thumb.
