Both have problems OpenCycleMap gives me a track which is through deep mud on the way to work, but then correctly gives me a cycle track at the end. Google maps keeps me on less muddy routes but sends me down a dangerous dual carriageway when there is a cycle track as an alternative.
But isn't it possible to create an OpenStreetMap account, find the muddy road, and add a "bicycle=no" tag? Google seems to take months to fix a problem reported with the map.
I would have modded it insightful. It illustrates the point that every time a security problem happens on a Windows system, the problem is blamed on Windows, even if that's an unfair accusation.
Oddly enough, I agree. I've noticed most Lexus SUV's I've seen have been driven erratically. And it was a Lexus SUV that wrecked my first car, though the driver's losing consciousness might be a valid excuse. The bad driving happened enough, that I developed a stereotype about Lexus SUV owners.
As a Dem, I can say we _know_ Obama sucks and we aren't expecting any difference after the election.
We vote for him because Romney means we'd lose everything; the middle class would cease to exist and businesses would take over every aspect of our lives. So Obama is the lesser of two evils.
It's not the definition of insanity, as you put it, it's picking how you want to get screwed the least. I hate that Obama is doing all this Bush-esque stuff, but I know Romney would do it much worse.
This is why I tell my friends I think the Democrats and Republicans are working together. The goal is for the Republicans to look so outrageous and scary that Obama can do outrageous and scary things and still look like the better option. McCain and Palin played their role well, making Obama look like a hero while he signed off on everything the rich and powerful wanted. Now Romney is playing his role well, and Obama continues to sign off on everything the rich and powerful want.
That's one of the problems with being an "ethnic minority". A lot of times, people don't care what's happening to you because it doesn't happen to them. Their biggest problem is you won't shut up about it. So they consider you to be the bad guy instead of the people giving you a hard time.
I don't think leaking incorrect information is the primary goal. My guess is this would be a tool to make denial easier. That is, they want to say they're leaking misinformation so, when real information leaks, they can say it's all a lie and having it leaked was just an ingenious plan to provide you with security.
The phone company won't co-operate. Any bugs found in Mozilla will remain in the phone forever, with your only solution being to buy a new phone that is exactly the same as your old one except it has an updated operating system.
My Galaxy Tab with OSMand did a pretty good job of tracking my location without me being connected to Wi-Fi. Of course as soon as I got home and connected, Facebook and Google probably learned everywhere I'd been that day.
If that actually happened, then they should have just made it do 23:59:59 twice instead of crashing all the computers. I would like somebody to give me a concrete reason why any computer system should actually crash because of a lost second.
I definitely think the carrier is a bigger problem than the hardware maker for me. Because I have an EVO 3D on Sprint in the US. And the EVO 3D is running Ice Cream Sandwich for everybody all over the world except Sprint users.
I remember when I first got to use search engines in the mid 90's, and they had some site (search.com I think) that would collect search results from all the real search engines and present them on one page.
If you think the contents of this article are what Christians teach, you are honestly believing a fairy tale too. It would be just as easy to find somebody who mixes chemicals together and blows himself up, offering it as an example of how science is incompetence.
I like the concept, but I don't understand why they're maintaining a separate database instead of just using OpenStreetMap data. It seems a bit redundant. Also, it seems to me like they got their data from OpenStreetMap anyway (or at least got it from the same source). Because there are errors that were on the OpenStreetMap, which I fixed, yet they are still present on the Waze map. The exact same mistakes. Why fork the project?
That kind of sounds like distributed computing, which is what the cloud was before corporations picked up on the word and applied it to what they wanted to sell.
I think our government should remove the tariffs on sugar so nobody will use corn syrup anyway. It seems the only reason we need a tax on corn syrup now is we put a tax on sugar earlier.
It's not just anti-China. It's anti-Black, anti-religion, and probably anti-[a lot of other things]. This is why Slashdot could never compete with a real social network. It's inherently anti-social. And if they want to argue that it's a technology blog rather than a social network, they'd do well to focus on the technological achievement of replicating a city rather than focus on Chinese copying of a design.
Have you proven this or are you just saying your religion is the one true one? And (please try to take the question seriously) how do you know the creation of the universe by a "prime mover" wouldn't take on the form of a "quantum vacuum"?
While you're talking about things being illogical, explain to me how (there is matter) and at the same time (matter can not be created or destroyed). Since everything in science is true and proven. And if you're going to say it just hasn't been proven yet or we just haven't seen it all yet, then the same could just as easily apply to God.
I think money is a bigger factor than "impulse control" for how well people do. How many rich people refuse to get what they want when they want it? If anything, I'd say rich people are more likely to lack impulse control because they have no need for it.

(most users just click yes to anything)
On Android, you have to. Your only options are accept everything or you don't get the app.

Are you pro-atheism guys going to use this example as a vector to bash all scientists the same way these guys were used to bash all religious groups?

You could have answered without calling it a stupid question. But I agree with the rest.

Better yet, do they realize Android Phones already had GPS navigation? https://twitter.com/SharkSandwich73/status/212551053898559488

Wouldn't it be nice if the music and movie industries had to prove they lost money because your ip address was on a bittorrent server?

Fuck you for bashing anybody who doesn't share your beliefs.
