    Its not matter of better performance or speed.Its the spirit of game.
    Starcraft is based on such interactions that make it awkward to operate in 3D.
    The surrent system is perfect in '98 graphics.Replicating this at 3D is unlikely and wasteful of resources.
    Its the Gameplay Mechanics needs fixing
    UMS cannot be designed efficiently,maphacks and crashes,memory/sprite limits,
    Each game has 5sec delay before start.
    Lag screen cannot be turned off without hacks.Hacks aren't fixed in multiplayer.
    A bunch of people who have private hacks can exploit them all they want because only they know the secrets.
    This game needs to be server based with strict control for cheats.
    And NO warden crap spyware.I never trust
    blizzard on this.They always poison the
    game expirience by design glitches and changes.Starcraft II is not going to be Starcraft II.

    I wonder why people look at "piracy" so
    prejudiced, it isnt a very good thing helping more people to get their entertainment and information?
    At cheaper cost and even free with file sharing (BitTorrent,file hosts,etc).
    Piracy is "wrong" because it promoted as such by cartels that hold copyrights.
    Free world doesn't need such leeches.
    They will get rid of sooner or later.

    Perhaps it will require a dedicated crack,it usually works this way.
    In degree of complexity:
    1.hosts IPs can be blocked separately.
    2.textures/objects/generator scripts can be hacked to draw blank/disabled.
    3.If all this is encrypted it will be decompiled.
    4.server side authentication will be logged and reverse engineered.
    5.If all else fails the client will be reverse enginered.(Unlikely and messy solution,but is very effective)
    Its depends just matter if they game popular enough and ads are annoying enough.

    I'm usually not going to waste hours to reach game goals or just have fun.
    for example if i like i can load Starcraft and Play a single map for half-hour(not melee) and leave.

    Episodic gaming is widespread because,
    there few reasons:
    1.Lack of time.
    2.Games are not interesting after you
    familiar with them enough.I.e. no novelty factor in spending time on old games.
    3.Games aren't important enough to use up free time.If there is something else it takes priority over gaming.
    4,using games as recreation isn't much fun.Games are less interesting then books or film to casual player.
    5.Gaming as hobby vs programming as hobby,looks like less productive use of time.besides gamign expirience or gaming skills are typically restricted to single domain.

    This all contributes to small gaming sessions,lack of interest in learning game skills,tendency of casual gaming.
    Flash games are popular becuase they
    largely designed for casual players.
    I'm viewing this as healthy trend,since hardcore gaming is detrimental to personality and lifestyle of gamers.

    Not everyone is expert to write ciphers . Most people can't handle complex procedures of decoding the plaintext(manually,with paper and pencil).The cipher was quick to decode.

    I don't care about domain searching.Google is superior.

    Seems liek new domain TLD = just hype.

    Unless they(The registrar(s)) back up it with better terms then .org .net .com they can forget about it.I can get free subdomains from alot of hosts.
    and I get a forum as a bonus too( i could use it(editing main template/settings) to redirect to another site or load frames from some host). getting a shorter domain isn't my priority.Unless it free and has some unique features which are better then free forums with subdomains or DYNDNS(or any hosting already Existing On The Market).I.e. Extremely Unlikely.

    Seriously, i use it for emphasis or highlighting.I know people who speak in Caps and some Capitalize Every Word.I'm not one of them.I Use Capitalization for
    it Original Purpose.As Emphasis is
    more important to me then Sentence capitalization i usually use it when i see fit.It has nothing to do with emotions or shouting.It makes sentences
    clearer when you point the subjects directly,that people can Follow your thought and Process by which you present your Statement. Besides why i can't use Caps when its a Historic Usage case:

    Open Office is Superior becuase it has features X,and they are Must Have.

    Notepad for all it matters excellect and fast editor (in fact i mostly use Metapad,a notepad replacement to get my work done).I know here alot sladhot people who Work with Vi and Emacs
    exclusively.

      I don't rely on my car-stereo to listen to music, and the sound quality of my home system is much better. But a car stereo provides me with the ability to listen to music while I drive, whereas my home system doesn't. It doesn't need to be better sounding than my home system for it to be useful.

    What if i Choose not to use a car,
    Or even a stereo to rely on it?
    Maybe i have a portable player?

    And how is carrying around a floppy on your person at all times more convenient than simply accessing Slashdot? That argument is even more half-baked. It simply demonstrates the need for bookmark-sharing sites since local bookmarks won't allow you to access your bookmarks anywhere you go without having to carry around another physical medium.

    I never claimed it more convinient.I claimed an alternative.I Would post my bookmarks in my forum instead.In password-protected section.Outside of slashdot.
    And of course i would consider to use a floppy too if i wanted backups.

    Your browser doesn't provide features such as link-sharing, or tagging, therefore, it is not a substitute for del.icio.us or Slashdot bookmarks. Whether you like those features or not is irrelevant. Local bookmarks don't provide those features, del.icio.us and Slashdot bookmarks do.

    OK lets get it clear.Its relevenat Because i DONT USE FEATURES I DONT LIKE.

    YOur feature(social bookmarks) is what i not like.I don't use it and declare it useless.I don't object to the Idea of Bookmarks if its posted on discussion forum,If its for good reason.
    I just won't use Social Bookmarks.

    My Browser IS A substitute.Why use SocB when Social Bookmarks features is not Better then Usual Bookmarks.

    If i want sharing links i SHARE Them

    The Wikipedia is not a glorified message board.

    What i view wiki as,is a form of forum(look at Discussion Pages).
    A Content Management System for Wordlists and Articles.Its a Forum without
    Editing restrictions,linked by Urls specific such that each topic equals Url.The Categories are subforums.
    The structure of wiki isn't somethign alien and new(whats new is the interface and ease of use).It Categories can be views as tags and virtual links to wordlists.

    If people wanted you can Implement a Wiki-Like service inside a forum.Without code editing!
      though.People would search subject by Forum Search.Each of SUbjects is inside
    a section named WIki,Where anyone can Moderate.
    Then Since each one of them is a moderator,They would take an article,and edit at their heart contents or move it to another subforum.Plain and simple.
    All (important) features Wiki has,In one place.

    Each server of WikiSPhere will be Liable for its domain of KNowledge Only.
    Ye,si'm aware of WIki competition and special purpose wiki.
    I suggest this be done for Main Wikipedia as it most Important.
    Each Server/hosts will be hosted independently.Links will take people from any poitn of WikiSphere to another.

    ex: Server : Communism,Contains every entry related to communism.
      and Server : Fish. Contains all fish species and articles on fish.
    You can move fish articles to another servers if its too much(which is likely if subject directory expands to Gigabytes).

    And no,jokign about google searching the data instead is silly.Web doesn't have the structure,web is chaotic.Resources vary in formats and form of presence.

    This will reduce server load,make all of them independent,and you can split server usage just by assigning half of
      articles to new server.

    Each server will have it own admin
    and they all can argue on forums for their cause.The purpose of Wikiweb will be providing maximum knowledge.

    Disputed stories can be hosted on many servers,If parties decide so.Each of LInks will have alternatives.

    Friend/Foe system is somethign never implemented on forums,and HTML formatting is unique to Slashdot.

    I Just brought the point to criticize your conservative position.
    Sarcasm or whatever you like to see it as.My objective thinking Doesn't depends on Interests.I work by logic and check assertions.I defend my point of view,yes,as far as i can argue,if i see that my point has justification and viable answers to subject.
    I'm far from ideological zombie proclaiming his system and superiority to mankind.I present my arguments from philosophic point of view,not doctrine.
    Each of them has reasons.Why i would work purely for promotion of some software,just because i "supposedly" make it (and for
    the purpose of clarification: i don't make forum software/mods/web apllication ).In fact i don't even program(though i know abit of Basic) and never been a web administrator.I just discuss changes in technology from my worldview and theorize about potential solutions or answers.I'm more of a practical philosopher then programmer or software geek.which doesn't prevent me to know alot of these subjects.
    Such "Super-Forums" Btw already exist in limited form.Myspace Yahoo and web portals...They have limited amoutn of disjointed features under one site,and quite primitive compared to super-forums.

    Categorize all knowledge?
    1.Identify Knowledge Domain (The field)
    2.Indentify category of Question(The subject)
    3.Remove ambiguous data which can change
    for similar questions of this domain.
    4.Search for matching Data sources in the Category,With subject only.
    5.refine search by looking up it in the data source(*which is usually site dedicated to knowledge domain question asked).

    Of course searching a Book by its visual appearance or Pumpkin carving "craft" in
    google is useless.
    We need a way to search data By tags or categories.Classify the web sites.

    Something like Dmoz.org just Larger,User-friendly,MUlti-category and Wiki-like features.Sort of WikiWeb.

    Turn a question into description of data source you search,Categorize,remove ambiguous parts.

    Searching the answer to question "How to port between Foo and Bar with these libraries?"
    Becomes " +Porting + Foo +Bar " and the solution may not involve libraries at all.

    Guns kill people(more precisely:they get operated in such manner and intent as to cause death by a human.Accidents with guns are insignificant in comparision).
    But who pulls the trigger? Are people such zombies so when they see murder on television they all take guns and start a Batlle Royale FFA elimination game.
    Counterstrike would make teenagers bloodthirsty becuase it inhibits moral values?
    Why don't you talk about stopping wars?
    (Which are murder of enemy soldiers/combatants/civilians)
    Don't the Idea of War much more effective already? And talking about consequences.Wars target anyone.

    And what you propose against such ads?
    Filter them from media? Make a law to make such advertising illegal?
    Doesn't it makes it against the american "free speech ideal"?

    If a question doen't has answers(i assume they will get to answer alot).reformulate question into terms search engines understand.
