Most rebates that I've seen are offered by a third party, and not by the manufacturer. I don't even know how that works.
I bought a laptop from BestBuy a year ago. It was a Compaq model, so the rebate was coming from HP. I sent it off to their third-party rebate refunder, and when I finally received a response, they told my I had missed the deadline. I mailed a day after I bought the laptop, and the deadline was six months away.
Honestly, I didn't even bother to fight it. It's just $100, and was not worth the trouble. That's probably exactly what they're hoping you'll think when they refuse to honor their rebate. Based on that experience, I'll never buy anything with a mail-in rebate again.
It ran with fewer requirements, and also it was their networking technologies that was the foundation for NT Networking. The Client for MS Windows was based on Netware's client technology.
Bull. The only piece of Novell technology in Windows was the Novell client. SMB has nothing to do with Novell.
Also, keep in mind that there is an 80K portion of memory that memtest stays resident in, and cannot be tested. I suppose it could be a freak occurance that there is bad memory within that 80K window.
About the only time you will get bad gas from a station is if you fill up just after they've had their tanks refilled. When the tanks are refilled, sediment from the bottom of the tank is disturbed. The sediment is usually fine enough to pass through the fuel filter, and is more than enough to affect the quality of the fuel.
So, if you see the truck leaving the station, go to a different one.
Your laptop was seriously fucked up if it couldn't play movies with a PII-366 CPU. I still have a PII-266 with Win2k on it, and while it probably won't decode a DVD streams realtime, it plays any other video format.
You're right.. It's a web standard, not an internet standard.
Still, would you object to the use of Flash if it were a completely open standard? The only reason I object to the frequent use of Flash, is that Macromedia is the be-all-end-all of what platforms and browsers are supported, and there's no way around it.
Well then, they'd better get Macromedia to make Flash completely open. Flash is pretty much a web standard now. It needs to be an open standard, with an open-source client.

That was the Win95 CD. I think they took it off of the Win95 OSR2 CD, though.
What are you talking about? OS X is UNIX. What do you mean by "mess of a system"? In what way is OS X a "mess" but Linux not?
NetInfo. The only thing that I hate about OS X.
I'll take it you've never been to a LDS State Conference. The one I went to here in Washington state featured a direct satellite video link (no fucking joke) to the chief Elders, where they made it their point to reiterate their goals and expectations of the Mormon church in this state, and its followers.
One of my best friends is a Mormon Elder in his church, and I gave him a ride there. Decided to stick around, and found it to be very, VERY creepy.
XP Home gains full NTFS permission control availability when you install NT Security Configuration Manager.
By the way it turns, my guess is some sort of tank tread.
I don't know, but he'd better have massive spiked hair and some stupid name like Yeeru.
And if it runs OS X, "everything just works."
Really? What sort of carburetor technology is used to prevent flooding/leaning at high AOA?
Just about every single piston engine manufactured since WWII has had mechanical fuel injection.
If you don't dabble in Perl, then why is your name "The-Perl-CD-Bookshel?"

Too bad that Fluxbox has already killed it off.

I have a IIcx that also has designer names under the motherboard. Do they all have that?

"Deep voice guy" is Pat Cashman a (somewhat) well-known Seattle TV/radio icon.

I'll have to make sure not to step on my brakes the next time I see a red light, since that would wear out my brake pads.
Maybe it's because people get annoyed when you post your "correction" OVER FIVE TIMES!!!!
*ring* "Where is the Start button? I can't find My Computer!"
Not if you're a conceited limey.
