Intel northbridge? Not likely since no PowerPC processor has a bus compatible with any x86's.
Where did you come up with this logic? Just because the chip says Intel doesn't mean it runs that type of instruction. Intel does do other things than make x86 CPUs.
Hear hear. I'm excited about this too. I just hope they get the damn thing built. It would be a great moment of the rest of thew world pwning America.
I just hope it really is safe. It sounds safe, but I'm willing to bet no one of influence saw the possible dangers of Nuclear technology way back when before the A-bomb.
Everyone's overlooking a major point here. Think about it. It's 2004. Practical fiber optic technology has been has been around since the 70's, or so says the Wikipedia. Why weren't these things already in the ground 15 years ago?
WHY IN THE NINE LAYERS OF HELL ARE WE STILL USING COPPER!?
Are there software patents in Canada?
A cluster eh? lamost like some sort of rolling beowolfe cluster.....
That came to my mind right as I read this. This topic is just screaming for a good beowolfe Cluster joke.
I'm surprised Microsoft hasn't tried to patent/Copyright .net domain yet.
First post.
I love brainy chicks. Even if they aren't that pretty.
Probably because it's near goddamned impossible to install. It's the only OS I've ever not been able to get a *fully* working installation.
Yes, I have. Sort of. That's what confused me about it.
But aren't those patents meaningless in everywhere but the US? Forgive me, for I am n00b!
