You would much rather all those who oppose Trump (nee: Drumpf) foam rabidly at the mouth, screaming enraged imprecations at all who oppose them? The thought that we might use calm, measured responses and avoid violence in opposing this malign person displeases you somehow. Well and good.

Yes, I stand by the basic intent and meaning of my sig line - that in opposing the madness which our once proud nation has inflicted upon itself, we who perceive this evil clearly should not reduce ourselves to the petulant and childish behavior which has profited Trump. We should not reduce ourselves to name calling or calls to violence. This idea frightens you, yes?

The primary cause of instrument and control failure in spacecraft is radiation. High energy photons and energetic particles get past hulls and shielding and go right through sensitive integrated circuits, damaging them in much the same way they damage living cells. We're talking about circuit paths with widths measured in nanometers. Such tiny constructs can easily be smashed by radiation in much the same way my thumb can be smashed by a hammer.

I speak from experience on the latter.

I know - you figure Russia is too technically backwards to mount such an attack (despite being the first nation to put a satellite or a human in orbit). Or a nation steeped in the tradition of Lenin, Stalin and Trotsky could never do such things (despite their attempt to put nuclear-tipped missiles in Cuba). Or is it that our Glorious Leader has decreed that Russia's okay, so this couldn't possibly be true? Oh, wait - that's Divine leader, isn't it?

Before Ticketmaster, I really didn't have too much difficulty getting tickets to shows - I saw Yes, Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and quite a few others in concert. Cost me around $30-$50 a pop (in 1976 dollars). With Ticketmaster, prices almost immediately doubled - and have continued to rise at a rate significantly higher than inflation could ever explain, that is when the show I want to see hasn't already been "Sold Out" to scalpers.

I guess that's why we nerds invented Pirate Bay, TOR and BitTorrent. Really, I'm too old for the concert scene anyhow. Wine, women and song got to be too much for me, so I gave up singing!

POTUS may have gotten where he is by indiscriminate use of ad hominem attacks, name calling and outright lies, but we cannot hope to limit or remove him by employing those same tactics. Something about becoming the enemy?

As of now, every supporter of the current POTUS can point to your post as a valid reason why surveillance is necessary and justified. After all, "it's wrong. Sad. Terrible. Totally biased. False news." Please don't arm the current administration - they already have the upper hand in muzzling and controlling the news media, don't surrender social media to them as well.
