The difference here is that the glider launches itself and carries the launching mechanism with it. It likely can't launch itself over and over without human input though. I'm sure they can learn a lot from RC airframe design.
To remove your Google account (and therefore Google Play) from an android phone, you simply log out of the Google account. The Play Store is useless then. A factory reset (available on all androids I've used/seen), does the same, to a further degree (removing apps, etc).
The solution you're looking for is StickNFind. Low power bluetooth stickers. Link to your phone and when the "sticker" goes out of bluetooth range, an alarm goes off. You can then your phone as a proximity sensor to track down where your stuff went. http://www.indiegogo.com/sticknfind (to order), and http://sticknfind.com/product/ to learn.
I agree. The ISPs would likely disagree, but as a customer, I want to get good value. If I pay a fixed amount, and never use it, I'm getting poor value... You came close to saying it, but I think we should pay for what we use, just like every other utility. If I go on vacation, I shouldn't have to pay for water, I didn't use any. Same with electricity, and natural gas. So why do I pay for internet?
Based on my ISP's datacap and monthly costs, worst case (hitting cap), it's $0.248 per GB. Sounds reasonable. Tack on a base monthly fee (tax) to keep the lines up and growing, and it's a utility! Anyone can use the lines, as long as they pay the line fee.
This sounds more like a reason to get rid of the dime than the dollar. A dime in 1950 could get you a burger. Now a $1 bill will get you a burger. The dime won't get you anything.
Exactly. PETA hates a video game for "abusing" virtual/fictional animals, and turns right around and creates a video game abusing virtual humans. Human rights organizations should sue them for depiction and glorification of human abuse, they'd be more likely to win than PETA in this case.
That's the thing though, those examples were intended to taste like a natural substance (and missed the mark completely). The lab meat wouldn't replicate any existing available meat. I do like the idea of extinct species meat becoming available.
If we are going to make synthetic meat, let's make it unique and supremely delicious. I see no reason to work towards duplicating existing, readily available meats. Let's spend that lab money on meat so exotic and tasty it could have only come from a lab.
My favorite watch is the Timex Expedition series. For a number of reasons. These are the analog watches that have a digital piece as well.
Here's my review (I wrote a week or so ago): Waterproof. Indiglo is bright enough to be a makeshift flashlight. Mine is 5 years old, changed the battery 3 times. Dead accurate, never have to change time to match real life. Digital portion is great for 1) count down timer, 2) stop watch, 3) date (month and day), this is default display. Controlling the digital portion takes a little getting used to (particularly setting the count down timer), but you can memorize it quick. My original leather band ended up going nasty after about a year. I replaced it with a "canvas" band that cleans easy, is not organic (so it can't rot). Watch cost $40 and looks kinda stylish. Amazon Link
And now my rant about digital watches: Digital is great, for stop watches and dead accurate timing. But when do you ever need to know that it is 10:52:18? 10:50 does fine. But if anyone asks you the time you are required to do additional thinking to give them that estimate, or you blurt out the exact time (reading directly from your watch, making you look like a nerd, and most of the time your watch is off by at least a minute, making you look like a dumb "know it all" nerd, who's wrong all the time). With an analog watch you also get relative time. When it's 10am, I can physically SEE noon. I can see 20, 25, or 30 minutes from current time very quickly with out having to do subtraction or addition. It's easier for a glance at the time (when you don't care), but when you do care, it's accurate to the second (with some extra thinking). That's why the timex is the perfect watch. It gives you the benefits of the digital (stopwatch, etc), but the ease of use of an analog.
I say fire him immediately. Having someone at the top who egregiously lied for so long sets the tone for the whole company. That's not how you want to do business, so that's not who you want as your leader.
They also have mounts for standard digital cameras onto traditional scopes. You can use the viewfinder or digital screen to view through the sights.
There is a person on youtube that documents bird and squirrel hunting through the use of high speed video on a consumer digital camera: www.youtube.com/user/EdgunUSA/featured... His videos are pretty amazing, very informative too.
Police will begin issuing fines in France from the beginning of November, and it's interesting that the required "kit" includes not just a working breathalyzer, but a range of accessories that we should, as good citizens, always carry on board a car anyway: a first aid kit, fire extinguisher and and spare bulbs for both headlights and blinkers.
Also compulsory fare will be a warning triangle and a fluorescent safety vest carried inside the car for every vehicle occupant. Failure to comply will cost another EUR90."
Not a bad idea, but pretty crazy for them to mandate. Also, are they allowed to search your trunk to see if you have these items??
And here they state their intentions about the breathalyzer:
With drink driving penalties being so much more costly than the "no breathalyzer" fine, the idea is that drivers will inevitably self-test before driving, even if they then risk a fine for no breathalyzer at a spot check - at least they'll be under the limit.
They are making some bold assumptions about drunks.
However, I did just get off the phone with Money Network (the company that manages the Google Prepaid card on Google Wallet. After speaking with them and doing a little reading, I discovered that the phone owner is not liable for fraudulent charges. You must notify them as soon as possible though (855-492-5538, toll free).
I don't know the rules, but is it okay for the FBI to post the man's social security number? It's on nearly every page. 549-94-3295 if anyone was wondering.
They do have a say in what companies they used to make those hard drives. "Oh you're located in the same vicinity as all my other suppliers? No thanks, I'll go with [Other Company], wouldn't want a natural disaster to ruin my product pipeline!"
Maybe HP already has printers with WebOS in the pipeline, a lot of them. Losing WebOS licenses at this point could be a major loss for their development group.

Or $6 if you have a Fry's Electronics.
Or $0.99 if you have eBay ... yes, that includes shipping.
They'll just add "ensure the iPad is charged" to the checklist.
Oh. Wait...
Thought Experiment
Google has already thought of this.

This is why I use a black background on my phone.

Why haven't these police officers been arrested?
Arrested by who? Their peers who do not want to be videotaped either?
By metacops, naturally.
But who metas the metacops?
It's metacops, all the way down.

Your link to the "official moon landing hoax" site is a forum with a grand total of 5 posts (most of those being links to youtube). Wikipedia has better coverage: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moon_landing_conspiracy_theories
Galaxy Tab 7.7 and 8.9 are legit, certified "real Android tablets". Not as affordable, but great devices.

XKCD
