"I think the hype has been excessive," said Philip Kotler, a professor of marketing at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. "If there are bugs in this program, or if the extra performance doesn't deliver substantial benefits, this could be a disaster."
I got a thesis topic out of it. I'm convinced that the reglation wouldn't have come into play without WorldCom happening.
I'm also going into the accounting / audit field = more work for us... it's funny how this was supposed to "punish" the audit / accounting industry and the industry will end up making far more money as a result of this.
Is at NBC's main page. Everytime I go there it's a Casino floating ad that I can't seem to get rid of. I'm used to these types of things on smaller companies, but not on a major network like NBC. Anyone else have this problem? (I'm using IE)
You can take the Ipod and hook it up to a TV if I recall... so you can bring your photos with you to a friend's place, plug in the Ipod, and show them your latest photos from your Europe vacation.
I also like the new $30 addon to hook up a digital cameara to your Ipod to download photos. Although flash cards are getting cheaper and cheaper - this is a nice way to get some more storage for your photos
I see this as a matter of time. Sure - I could route the stuff through Winamp - but is that worth my $15 a month?
The reason I'd pay to download music (apart from supporting artists, etc) is to save time. I could download it from Kazaa - but with all the polluted files - I'd just as soon pay my $1 a song or $15 a month or whatever and save myself the effort of sorting through the files.
The interview is unbelievably empty... He touches several times on the personalized reccomendations that Amazon does - which really has been key to their business success. He raises an excellent point about the role of Amazon being to find the "right" 15,000 customers for a book - or whatever the magic number is.
I can see further integration with their music and software sales for personalized reccomendations. It's the high tech equivalent of "would you like fries with that?"
There weren't many electronic voting machines in Flordia in 2000 --> would this make a huge difference in a House race?
and I can see the response now... yes yes - the 512 votes or whatever for Bush... "every vote counts"
I think this is a mistake...

The primary use of a VCR is no longer watching videos - but recording things. DVD Recorders are not yet at a price point that makes it affordable for consumers - nor do we have a standard in place for the type of DVD to be recording to.
Until DVD recorders reach a price point that is affordable for the average consumers, there will still be considerable demand for VHS to record television. I don't see digital recorders (Tivo, etc) at that point yet either.
Oh how right he was...

Not if you're the Liberal party and it's sponsorship money apparantly...

Even better was at my high school. Walk into a computer lab and you've got 200+ product activation numbers...

Space = power... unless you work in the White House and you must be within 100' of the Oval Office...

What makes a man turn neutral? Lust for gold, power, or was he just born with a cold heart full of neutrality?
