How can you take the CD out when you've booted Knoppix? It mounts the CD-ROM drive and locks it. I can't get the drive open without a paperclip when I'm in Knoppix...
Hmm, I opened my sweex webcam (the same he has) and unscrewed the lens. But my IR filter is round (so not a square as in his webcam) and won't come out.
I run Windows spyware under Wine. I also emulate IE6 so I can use CoolWebSearch and other cool searchbars! I have this cute Bonzi Buddy and a system tray icon which tells me the weather!
"The product can run three programs at a time. For those families, this is exactly what they want. That's a great experience for them."
Right... exactly what they want. They want to run Explorer.exe, Internet Explorer, Outlook, Wor-- wait, close an application first!
"One of the big criticisms about XP Starter Edition is that it can run just three applications simultaneously, so I was curious to see what it would do if you attempted to launch more than three. In this case, the system displays a notification window telling you that you can only run three applications. The notification roughly reads as, "With Windows XP Starter Edition, you can run three programs at a time. To open a new program, please save your work, close one open application, and open the new application again."
Nice work! And I guess the 800x600 max resolution is also "exactly what they want".
Bah.
I once read that the NES contains a Commodore 64 CPU (or something like that). That is why some other company made a NES clone that used the same cartridges.
I also think GRUB is a lot more advanced than LILO. I would use GRUB if I could, but it just won't run on some PC's, like mine. So I need to re-run lilo every time I compiled a new kernel:(
My server does run GRUB, though.
I wonder why The Inquirer calls it OpenOffice ("OpenOffice Base - the open source suite's Access"). You shouldn't call OOo that way. OpenOffice is an other company, which has nothing to do with with OpenOffice.org.
TheOpenCD sounds nice, the first thing I am gonna do is download and burn a couple CD's for classmates. But does this CD have an update function or something? I mean, after a month or something, most of the software will be out of date (eg, new versions available). What about that?
I think the Adblock extension makes a lot of sense, since it is on the first place of the mozilla extensions site. I also use Adblock, and it blocks almost every ad (including those on/.;-). Just enter "ad.*", that will block a lot of ads. I also think the most Internet Explorer users/are/ users that click on banners, or those annoying banners who are just like little windows.

I want to support web standards. If more and more people start using firefox, webmasters are forced to create websites that work in all browsers.

I think you don't understand. We are on Slashdot right now. Mozilla can steal tabbed browsing! Microsoft not. We don't like them.
I'm waiting for www.thankspain.info ...
Hardware doesn't get worth more over the years. I used to think that also. But hardware only gets worth less.

I don't see what's wrong with it? Microsoft's AntiSpyware Tool Removes Internet Explorer!
You are right, OS/2 Warp 3 had it also.

WTF? You are using MSN search insted of Google? Shame!

Dude, the list contains programs for Linux.

Dammit, I was just going to buy a new Pentium II 266! Now I need to hurry.
Ah, so you are one of the guys that screws up those browsers polls?

What is it called then?
