http://www.maximumpc.com/article/ocur Maximum PC ran an article about trying to get a cablecard installed into an Alienware rig they got to review. Didn't get it working. They were hoping the bugs would be worked out before consumers could buy them... guess that didn't happen.
Comcast Tech: Hey, this is ** from Comcast. I'm trying to hook up a customer's PC to our system, but I can't get it to work. Can you help me out?
From the article Microsoft Guy: Yeah, well, we don't have our tiered tech support set up yet, but I can try to walk you through it. What are you hooking up?
CT: Well, he has two computers, one from Voodoo PC and one from Velocity Micro.
MSG: He's got both those machines?! That's $13,000 in computers!
CT: Yeah, he's reviewing them. He's an editor at Maximum PC.
MSG: Oh.... Sh*t, they're supposed to tell us before they send those things out to the press.
CT: Both these machines have internal OCUR cards, too; I've never worked with the internal cards before.
MSG: [Still unaware he's on a speakerphone] Yeah, those are really tricky. But don't tell the guy that, or he'll write it up. You're gonna start seeing Dells like that come through your system like crazy.
Here is a comparison of earbuds using apple's aac formats at 128 vs 256 http://www.maximumpc.com/article/itunes_256_vs_128 _bit Cheap ear buds expose the differences in compression levels, while expensive earbuds make it hard to tell the difference.
This talks about installing windows xp onto a USB hard drive, but a large enough flash drive should be the same. I haven't tried it yet because my thinkpad t20 doesn't support booting from USB.
As long as you can get to the BIOS of a machine and tell it to boot from USB you should be all set.
Except the sun has a very low divergence, for light hitting earth anyways. Yes the sun radiates light in all directions, but only a small amount makes it to earth. The light that does is all traveling the same direction. The sun is just one big freakin laser really freakin far away
I've upgraded to a Red Bull and 2 smokes for breakfast on the drive to work. About an hour after getting there its time for second breakfast, which is a cup of coffee and a smoke.
Thats not even a hard one. Dwight did drink the coffee. He realized it was poisoned, and before it was too late future Dwight sent a warning to past Dwight.
No you are way way way off. Its more like your ISP would be able to contact imdb and say "Hey your users like to download movies, pay us and we will make sure to send the packets as fast as we can, if you don't pay us, we will throttle the connection for your users."
The end user would have no idea why imdb is slower than the roadrunner site.
What happens when some collision sends a pluton from space crashing onto earth, and a geologist finds it? geologist 1) Hey Look at this weird rock I found, it could be a pluton. geologist 2) No you dummy thats a pluton (points to a rock formation) geologist 1) No man, a pluton from outerspace. geologist 2) Plutons don't come from outerspace.
I have an On Demand cable channel from gotuit for the NFL. Its pretty neat, it lets you play all the clips tagged with a players name, or all touchdown clips, or all fumble clips, ect... There are a couple other gotuit channels but I haven't tried them out.

This test showed it was hard to pick the differences, but they conclude using vbr with a higher bit rate would improve the sound quality.

12 oz is usually 1 serving size. Cans of pop (soda) are 12 oz, so measuring the caffeine per serving saves people the complicated math.
