Half the reason I chose not to go into games was the crappy salaries, half was the crappy hours and the other half was my lack of mathematical ability.
Fair enough, my bad.
But it does raise another interesting point. The allowed version numbers and guidlines on how to use them were not updated until several weeks (iirc) after 1.5 was released, meaning I had to try to guess them (or look at other extensions) in order to get mine working. On top of that, for a while the uploader (which parses the xpi files) refused to accept version numbers the guidlines recommended.
I realise it's a open source project etc etc, but all in all it was a very confusing situation.
That's not exactly true. It took 3 months after 1.5 was released for my extension to be updated, not because I'm lazy or incompetent, but because there is a lack of testing manpower at mozilla.
>> 7. Did I already mention that it was fast?
From what I've seen, Firefox is faster under gnome, and Opera is faster under KDE. That conclusion however is from a scientific survey of two (2) users/systems.
Edge magazine regularly give out 5's for average games and only give out a ten once every year or two. Perhaps it's not on the reviewers radar because it's a UK publication.

Other than to piss off a large proportion of the magic community I'm not sure why wizards would do this. The rumour mill fires anticipation rather than deadens it, and I'd hazard a guess that it boosts both pre-release attendance and sales. Not that they need boosting, they're practically printing money as it is.
What are the advantages of Solaris over, say, SuSe?
One problem is that some apps only work properly on solaris. So we keep our db stuff on solaris and our services stuff on red hat.
People go to Starbuck's so they can say they go there. And to be seen there.
People want to be seen in starbucks? Where I'm from you'd never admit to even walking past it.
My copy of the oldskool hardcore tune pacman - powerpill begs to differ.
...to install it? Nah, not really.
*waits for gnome 3*
I'm sure there's a logical fallacy in there somewhere.
At least the dark colour hides the *ahem* particles.
I've started injecting it, so I'm not sure how this applies to me.
I graduated with a first class honours degree and I never recieved anything like a 35k offer. I hear this a lot and I still don't quite believe it.

Just flip a coin next time. You'll get yourselves a politician whichever way it goes, and you know they're gonna screw you anyway.
It doesn't work properly on my linux box :(
Stupid flash. It must be there to prevent (well, make more difficult) scripted atatcks.
Nah, it should be every rangers favourtie, Chatotic good.

Like a huge zit on the face of the stock market.

They've finally found a use for one with nothing.
I think R_E's got the force of will for this one. *gets coat*

It (or one of its later variants) should have been in the top 10. I can't think of another game I've been playing for 15 years.

That's grammar, not grammer btw.

There's no point having a really quick cup of coffee if it tastes like shit.
I read it all but the last paragraph. Oh well, thats the (first and) last time I go for a fp...
I suppose that means he doesn't believe in global warming then. Fits in nicely with the governments plans for wrecking the environment.
