So... Microsoft has an interest in protecting their investment, which vast armies of programmers gave large chunks of their lives to create, and you want it for free or cheap?
I think not.

Amen! I'm glad that you are among the bastion of non-zealotry still left on slashdot.
In general, so is WinXp with SP2. The vast majority of problems on up-to-date computers doesn't come from security holes, it comes from people doing stupid things. People are just as able to install $VIRUS from $SHADY_WEBSITE on OSX as on Windows. The only saving grace is that Mac OS X doesn't effectively force users to run with Administrator/Root priviledges, as Windows does.
Communism != Socialism. In Communism you can't own anything, in Socialism you can. Communism == public ownership of everything, Socialism == public ownership of the means of production.
If too many people want to buy the lower-quality cards, why doesn't NVidia just lower the price on the working ones? If they did that sufficiently, they could move demand from the lower-end chips to the higher-end ones and compensate properly.
I don't really think it's all that surprising. After all, things like the Virtual Boy Advance have been around for a long time. Granted, the Virtual Boy Advance doesn't run on the PSP, but my point is that the GBA hardware is well known and well emulated. It's been done time and time again.
BOO HOO. Honestly, you can't bitch and moan that you don't get to take up bandwidth for free anymore. Do you think Thomas Paine complained when no one gave him free paper to print his ideas on? Didn't think so. And his ideas are probably a lot more important than yours. I'm likely to be modded down for this, but it needs to be said.

Welcome to my friends list.
Nice Dave Chappelle quote. I'm glad an actual piece of pop culture mentioned Linux. (Yes I've seen that episode.)
This is a massive understatement, but nowadays he's probably best known as the guy who created XScreenSaver.
Well, you see, the thing is, I'm not the one who cares. And I think you mean "quotes", not "parentheses".
sorry I don't have mod points, or you'd get one.
He spells so many thing correctly?
If you want to be a grammar nazi make sure your own post sounds like English.
Then I wouldn't be able to read the MSDN help, which is an invaluable resource.
Porn sites, and AOL. We can't forget the atrocities of AOL.

You can use them and possess them, but they're not actually yours.

Dude, seriously, who cares? By the way, doesn't punctuation go inside quotes? Your reply should read as follows:
"its."
but it doesn't.
Well, I've never seen it, but from the blurbs I've heard it seems you may be thinking of GATTACA.
That was funny.

You have to buy the encryption key used to encrypt the thing.
Upgrade your Firefox. The version you're using is ooooolllldddd...
Why does the number being prime have anything to do with it?
Just to let you know, Virtual Boy Advance also emulates the GBC.
