The online play is pretty damn good too. As is the offline multiplayer play. I online wish more of the online game types were available online (the one where one team chases another would be pretty damn sweet offline). I've stayed up until 4:00am playing this game with friends.
For those who played the original Burnout and didn't like it: this one is a lot better. I bought the original, played it once, and haven't played it since. This one I've played a ton of.
And if you have a PS2 and Xbox, get the Xbox version. Much nicer graphics:)
The surplus was there beecause the ratio of people putting money into the system versus those taking it out was high.
Now we're reaching a point where the baby boomers are getting close to retirement age and the older folks are just living longer. So that ratio is decreasing. As has been said over and over again: Half the people are supposed to die before they collect social security. That is no longer the case.

Slashdot has semi-major problems almost every day. 503 errors, "nothing for you to see here" annoyances, and a search engine that goes down more than a Thai hooker.
There may be conclusions that you disagree with but everything written there is far more honest, insightful, and truthful than any of the nonsense coming out of the NYT/WashPo/WashTimes/WSJ editorial pages.
They didn't fully disclose this. They disclosed that they were technical advisors to the campaign. Now the campaign has said that they were paid for support.
You think it's just a coincindence that KOS is backing Dean for DNC chair, don't you?

And you can make baseball games without the MLB license.
I don't see how it wouldn't hurt them. They wouldn't have real players. And that would hurt them.
Actually, Forbes.com is still up and running fine.

No way! A NY Times article saying that conservatives are wrong and the left is correct.
Come on... let's see who the Washington Times agrees with!
I hate the required regisration system on any web site for "free" access.
Then I'm sure you'll love it as more and more sites start to be pay only.
It's a nusance to put in garbage in a web form and use a throwaway email address, if necessary, but it still beats paying for it.
Ahh.. you are correct. I only skimmed TFA.
Sort of. It only helps if people actually visit that porn site before they open the attachment.
I just put one of those pictures as my desktop background at work and now... I'm afraid people might get the wrong impression.
There definitely is something a little "off" about them.

Those are awesome. Seriously.
In a continuation of the seriousness: any one else thinks he looks a little light in the loafers?
But, since they're little bastards, expect some temporary "problems" once Verisign is finally forced to relinquish its control.
