My old one got deep sixed due to Slashdot's idiotic moderation system. My karma went from Excellent to terrible in one post thanks to a ton of +1 Funny and -1 Troll/Flaimbait/Overrated moderations.
I know you probably don't know where North Dakota is, but just look at map of the US, find the middle of the country, and then just go up to the top. A little bit to the left of those big fresh water lakes we have.
That area of the planet (Minnesota/North Dakota/South Dakota) actually has the second most variable temperatures in the whole world, behind Sibera.
Then they would never have the fix their server problems. At least now, when the site is erroring out, no ads are being displayed so they have a reason to do something.
I heard that apple is creating a portable multimedia device. Not a lot of specs known, but it will be in white plastic, with a circular wheel to navigate your songs.
Well, hopefully that this, like many of its predicesors, will be fun to hack and crack, and will hopefully end up being cheap so we can buy a bunch of them and do CRAZY anti-DMCA things to it.
The Windows Server 2003-based Macworld Expo site folded under all those hits, while Apple's sites, running Mac OS X, were only knocked into sluggishness. (Server load is a complex thing, of course -- more complicated than what OS is on the servers.)
So why even mention it?
Not trying to be an MS apologist, but it's not as if the Macworld Expo site has any where near the hosting capability that apple.com does. Probably one, maybe two servers running the expo site.
This was the solution of some leftist socialist Christian political party (I know, it's strange)
When asked about their solution to unemployment their Presidential candidate said that companies should just hire more employees.
What was the name of the party... it was like "American Christian Party" or something.
What type of definition is this?
Job stress results when the requirements of the job do not match the capabilities, resources, or needs of the employee.
In other words it is completely your employers fault, not yours.
That whole page is an absolute bunch of garbage. F'en OSHA
You should forward your resume to the CIA. Clearly they need someone with your level of intellect.
uh oh! maybe this isn't my first account

It was a joke. You have jokes in the UK, right?

YHBT by Michael. YHL. HAND.
But seriously.
How many of these stories does Michael have to post? Every single one that appears from every single source?
Uh oh. Be careful! That statement goes against the slashbot groupthink!
The Slashvertisement worked!
ssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Really, don't repeat that.

So, information that is over a year old and has been publically shown, is "revealed". Sounds like a perfect Slashdot article.
Well, there's this thing called "support". Initial costs may be low, but how about ongoing maintenance costs? Redundancy? Failure rates?
Queer Eye for the 'Pretending to be a 14 Year old Girl' Guy?

Of course, this just gives them more time to collect bribes. But we can always hope.
