    Its worth considering Google Talk (Jingle protocol).
    It uses XMPP (Jabber) then kicks up to Jingle for voice.

    Why not do identity but saving a vCard at a certian URL on your public website.
    Sites that want logins can just as for your vCard URL. You have have several, they are unique,
    you decide what goes inside. Startups can make tools for mananging them.
    Nice.

    They pay taxes. So their tax dollars are used to lobby against them! Eg Novell, Red Hat, etc.

    Isn't there already an MSN Spaces? I thought that was MSFT's copy of MySpace. But then I didn't look into it very much (at all).

    Those of you who say it will fail don't know that Wallop will be integrated into the OS.
    Just like Passport and Hotmail were.

    undocumented APIs!? Doesn't MSFT claim there are do such thing. Don't they say
    non-MSFT programmers have the same APIs as, say, MSFT Office programmers. Otherwise
    that would be an unfair advantage.

    I might use a Tivo device that downloaded shows instead for recording from cable/sat.
    I can't see wanting to pay for each episode of some show! - yuck.
    Also it needs that automatic aspect so you can just tell it want you want generally and it will
    download it for you at night.

            * Conditional configuration in sshd_config(5) using the Match directive. This allows some configuration options to be selectively overridden if specific criteria (based on user, group, hostname and/or address) are met.
            * Add support for Diffie-Hellman group exchange key agreement with a final hash of SHA256.
            * Added a ForceCommand directive to sshd_config(5), similar to the command="..." option in ~/.ssh/authorized_keys.
            * Added a PermitOpen directive to sshd_config(5), similar to the permitopen="..." option in authorized_keys, to allow control over the port-forwardings that a user is allowed to establish.
            * Added an ExitOnForwardFailure option to cause ssh(1) to exit (with a non-zero exit code) when requested port forwardings could not be established.
            * Added optional logging of transactions to sftp-server(8).
            * ssh(1) will now record port numbers for hosts stored in ~/.ssh/authorized_keys when a non-standard port has been requested.
            * Extended the sshd_config(5) "SubSystem" directive to allow the specification of commandline arguments.
            * Many manpage fixes and improvements

    I don't much like Starbucks but a good cup of coffee (maybe from an independent coffee shop)
    is much better that a bad cup of coffee. With gas, all the gas stations are selling the same thing.
    In other words, you generally get what you pay for in coffee.
