Agreed, one of the things I miss from the SNES times is good cooperative same-screen multiplayer games.

That is one of the reasons I loved "Army of Two". Although I would love to see non-FPS coop-multiplayer.

A good example would be the Top-Gear series in the SNES, which allowed you to play a career mode in multiplayer. Whereas current race games (e.g. Mario Kart Wii do not have that option)

Now I hope they'll give us a high-resolution, all-new, top-down Zelda game in the caliber of Link to the Past and Link's Awakening.

Ahh! those two Zelda games, where the real shit.

Unlike the Twilight Princess... I have *really* started playing it for about 6 times... and I always get bored after the first hour.

It is a fucking game, I am supposed to enjoy my time while playing it.

    Haha

How does the meme goes? you are doing it wrong.

Once you (and your co-players) learn to use the features of the game, the multiplayer is actually an advantage.

For example, in the haunted houses, watching at both sides to stop the ghosts.

Or jumping on your partner to reach stuff at higher places.

Or "going bubble" when someone cannot pass certain section.
Or "oing bubble" after grabbing a star-coin to avoid dying

I have whined about the lack of good games for Wii, but NSMB is one of the few good ones. Unfortunately it is *very* short. We have already finished and got all the star coins... and that's it.

I hope that this crack leads to, as you say, a port of HBMC or any other media player that fixes PS3 broken software.

Normal users find myspace like pages OK, the more sparks and blinks and effects the better. Whereas we find green text in black background great.

I love Green on Black (DarkRoom is a godsend for me). The compression socks did provide a nice relief during the flight, and according to a bit I have been reading they are good for circulation.

It amazes my how low has the Slashdot crowd been dissolved with people thinking among these lines.
I mean, although my /. ID is not that low and I do not consider myself a "complete geek" (after all, I have a wife and I cope fine with the majority of my coworkers which are women), but I still find the ReactOS software an exciting and interesting challenge.

I would be interested to know what is the reason for people with an ID higher than 1000000 to join Slashdot. I mean, if you read Slashdot's slogan is "news for nerds, stuff that matters".

THIS is news for nerds, it is related to computers and in the "free, open source software world" having a Libre version of Windows is indeed a good thing.

However, looking at most comments from this thread in particular and other similar Slashdot threads in general, the discussion just centers in arguing whether it is something right or wrong... Compare that to previous (2003) stories. When did the AOL crowd invaded Slashdot?

And, does anyone knows of a Slashdot-like newsfeed/forum which is not invaded by this way of thinking?
