    If the fix is critical, why is the Linux 64-bit version still at the vulnerable level?

    No versions have been fixed yet so all versions are still vulnerable ... this includes Linux 64-bit.

    Of course, it is usually blocked by noscript and flashblock.

    This appears to be a SWF file being run by Adobe Reader or Acrobat. Browser based plugins aren't going to help when it's opened by a desktop application.

    I wasn't impressed with the performance of it in the video. The scrolling stuttered and he had to press/click some items multiple times in order for it to register. It is an interesting device so I hope they can improve its performance. I doubt they'll get the price "well under $1000" with two 14" touch screens.

    They've added a lot of security. For example, when I debug an application on Windows 7, I have to click four dialog boxes instead of just one. If that isn't real security, I don't know what is.

    Well, four is greater than one. A car has four wheels and a unicycle only has one. A car is more secure than a unicycle. In fact, in a collision between a car and a unicycle the passenger(s) in the car will always be safer - even if the car isn't moving. Based on the preceding car analogy I can confidently declare Windows 7 is more secure than a unicycle.

    Are you sure this isn't an effort by the *IAA crowd to 'happen upon' illegal file sharing or other such frowned upon activities?

    Call me stupid, paranoid or even bat-shit crazy, but I don't want the government (or *IAA) installing a device that my "bandwidth" goes through. If they want that level of access let them get a warrant ;-)

    I don't think every piece of hardware should be supported forever, but I think a year of official support for the latest version releases after the last date you sold the product is a minimum

    If the contract period is 2 years, and the early termination fee is based on the contract period, they better support the phones for 2 years.

Stories on “fragmentation” are dramatic and they drive traffic to pundits’ blogs, but they have little to do with reality. “Fragmentation” is a bogeyman, a red herring, a story you tell to frighten junior developers. Yawn.

    Occam's razor is better satisfied by assume it is what it most resembles, not a badly drawn something else, with the coincidence that the badly drawn features happen to match the features of something else.
