It's the same reason Nintendo partnered with McDonalds for free DS online access. I am not saying that Nintendo should or will sell or merge or anything. But if anything would happen, that is the general direction I would be looking at not a wholesale buyout of Nintendo. They will be looking for partners in online, either an ISP, cable companies, cell phone companies who knows.
Just because they sell part of the company doesn't necessarily mean the new owner would move operations. If I were a betting man, Nintendo would either merge NOA with another company or create a third subsidary partnership with another company and call it Nintendo Online Ltd. or something like that. Nintendo is a pretty loyal company, in the 90s as a favor to the city of Seattle, they bought the controlling interest in the Seattle Mariners, and saving the team. So I have a hard time believing that Nintendo would do anything to move their operations.
Yeah but selling NOA is not selling the entire company. NOA technically is a seperate entity. Not saying they will sell it. But if they do, that part is what they will sell.
If Nintendo does sell to another company, they probably sell Nintendo of America rather the whole company itself. As NOA is more of a distribution arm of Nintendo rather than content creation.
In the hot coffee mod you have to move your character to the rythm of the "act" to get points. It gets really boring fast. Good thing they removed it from the real game.
There are some things that are impossible to fact check. Frey had most of his criminal record sealed, The Smoking Gun got lucky in that he didn't seal one of his records and that's how the ball went rolling. Smoking Gun also got Frey to admit that he made stuff up and then Frey threatened suit which is why Smoking Gun went public when they did.
Try binding that with a nice cover, and then convince Barnes and Noble to carry your books then you can say the margins are large. The truth is most books lose money, and they are few books that become blockbusters that make money. Publishers will buy back books that are not sold. So yes margins are razor thin on most books and probably is not worth it. And if there are glaring problems, the reviewers would hopefully notify the public that something smells strange. The problem here is not the publishers, well they are part of the problem but more of the reviewers who do not question an autobiography.
Normal trade secret law isn't a criminal issue. The economic espionage act is a Federal statute that covers "theft" of a trade secret that benefits a foreign nation, and includes provisions where anyone that tries to benefit economically from theft of a trade secret can also go to jail. It is something that is not widely prosecuted and the point is if MS didn't contact the Federal government, this guy wouldn't be prosecuted, whether that is a good thing or a bad thing I don't know.

Considering the cost of Virtual PC and a Windows license, it would probably just cheaper to get an Xbox 360 and a Mac. In any case, MS wins in any case.
It's not food you have to worry about, it's all the pathegens in the food like ecoli and salmenela. They start growing at exponential rates. But I think you are right, in the case of tv food the high temperature will kill off any bad things and most pre prepared foods have high salt content anyways.
Loss leader is also closely related to bait and switch. People come to get that hard drive for free after rebate, but the store only has five, since you need a hard drive anyways, you see a hard drive at 10% off, so you pick up the more expensive hard drive at a discount.
Acually there is no national drinking age in the US. States are free to change their drinking age to anything they want. Of course that also means states are free not to take any Federal Highway funds, there are currently talks about some states, I think one is California of changing their drinking age to 18.
In GTA: San Andreas, there is a mini game where you have to court a lady. When you do enough things, she asks you inside for some hot coffee. In the game that was released all you see is the house shaking and sounds of them having sex. In one of the hot coffee mod the scene changes so you can see what is inside, they are fully clothed and they are "hugging" in various positions, nothing more than you would see at 9 pm on Fox, in fact probably less stuff. In yet another mod, they are naked, and doing the mentioned "hugging" activities sans clothes, you see some digital nipples and that's pretty much it. Nothing more than what you would see on show time. I would call it somewhere between PG13 and R. If you want to see this content, you would have to reverse engineer some things and not at all trivial, but once done, programmers found a way to automate the process so the 14 year old at home can do it as well. But what people fail to mention is that the 14 year old should not be playing this game in the first place.

Mythbusters already did this myth. Not sure what the conclusions were though.

Sierra published Counter Strike. I remember Sierra logo first then the Valve logo second.

You joke, but sometimes IP lawyers aren't fully diligent in their search for prior art and the like.

The Jetsons?
Sin City was pretty good, Fantastic Four wasn't that bad and I am shamed to admit it but I actually kinda liked Into to Blue.
Considering Ragnarok is Korean, perhaps you should look to Korean law, not Japanese law.
Great Idea! Matt Hasselbeck you and the Seattle Seahawks won the Superbowl what are you going to do now? I am going to Pixarworld!!!
You mean like this?

Nudity by itself is not porn according the US supreme court. Give that infant in a bathtub a sex toy, then it might be porn.

Maybe because he installed a trojan inside your pants.

Isn't what you describing what they call price discrimination in economics and when doing so means an abuse of monopoly power?
Yeah, the headline should read, MS Revenues up, games division profits down. Which isnt as sexy.
