It even came with hardware VM support so I can have a PuppyLinux VM I can use if I need to do some banking on the go. Oh and despite not being updated in 4 years as Splashtop went out of business? Oh and an AMD APU which means I can do 1080P over HDMI so when I'm not using it for work its an ULV HTPC.

If we could get a new model with the same features? I'd be the first in line. Hell AMD even has a perfect chip for the job, the socket AM1 APU have a max of 15w for the top o the line quad and most of the time is sub 9w and its the same APU that was used in the PS4 so its got more than enough muscle to do HD video, slap that in a 12in netbook with an unlocked UEFI so I can install any OS I want? The reason you saw so many of the crap Atoms is Intel was product dumping, its the same reason you see so many of those Intel Atom convertibles so cheap now. But Atom was shit then, its still shit now, if you are gonna get a netbook? Don't make it an Atom if you don't want it to be crippled and blow ass, heck the AMD netbook chips even support hardware VM and ECC memory if you needed it so no segmenting the market like Intel always does.

Ever wonder why no FOSS game has taken game of the year? Why after all these years the only "competition" to Photoshop that is FOSS is literally some kid's school project? Why all those niche applications like medical diagnosis and billing are never FOSS, or why programs like GnuCash are a bad joke compare to commercial products like Quicken and Quickbooks from a decade ago? The answer is actually quite simple which is FOSS works on the blessed trinity and if your software doesn't fit that model you have no chance to survive and your company will go under. We've seen it happen time and time again, in everything from Windows to Linux game converters to repos for commercial software to OSes themselves, if it doesn't fit the trinity model? It has zero chance.

This is why FOSS will never become the dominant license, why despite MSFT doing everything short of making a high res Goatse as the default wallpaper Windows 10 continues to grow while Linux is flatline, it all comes down to the trinity simply not working for the vast majority of software out there and without the software people want and need to do their jobs? You might as well be offering to trade their PC for a potato. For those that do not know what the blessed trinity is, its 1.- Selling services, 2.- Selling hardware, and 3.- e-begging. And if your software, which more than 95% of the software used daily by hundreds of millions qualify, doesn't work under this model? Then FOSS is suicide because you simply cannot make enough money to keep the lights on in FOSS if you don't fit the trinity model.

I really wish it wasn't so, Windows 10 is such a nightmare it actually makes the thought of the return of the Ballmernator look like the return of Steve Jobs to Apple, and Google and Apple are racing to see which one can become the most Stasi like when it comes to gathering data, but as long as FOSS is so politicized and rigid that an individual or company cannot sell more than a single copy of their software before someone else gives it away for free? Then FOSS will stay exactly where it is, a niche tool mainly used by multinationals as a way to avoid licensing fees on their servers and to not have to pay for the software which they use on their hardware...which is of course #2 on the trinity..

Basically Obama had such a raging hard on for trying to blame the fact that HRC was a truly horrid candidate on Russia that he had Trump bugged hoping to find some big conspiracy between Trump, Wikileaks, and Russia. Ironically according to a British Ambassador it was a Bernie supporter in the DNC that leaked all the info because he was disgusted at the corrupt cabal of HRC plus the DNC conspiring to rig the primary against Bernie and Trump didn't have a clue about any of it.

So keep smelling your own farts and pretending its roses but here is a simple fact that will make you sick, Trump? Is gonna keep stomping the dogshit out of the Dems and the press for the next 8 years because of one simple little fact.,...THEY CANNOT STOP LYING....That is it, all they would have to do to leave Trump completely helpless and unable to fight back is simply stop lying but the dems and DNC have gotten so damned corrupt they simply cannot do it. And everytime they lie their lackeys in the press grab it and inflate the shit to Dr Insaneo proportions, look at the Wall where they went from 5 billion to suddenly the press claiming "Its a trillion dollars ZOMFG!" so now all Trump has to do is come in below that number and he is under budget and looks like the big winner...again...all because the dems just can't be fucking honest but instead have to go for the "ZOMFG Trump is literally Hitler warrgarble!" bullshit which makes THEM look like the whack-a-doodles.

I was a Bernie guy so I don't have a dog in this race but I have to say I'm enjoying the hell out of this, our MSM has been corrupt as fuck for decades and thanks to wikileaks we now know they were blowing the top brass at the DNC and even handing Hillary questions and running articles by her before they ran so if there is any group that needs to be crushed by the Trumpocalypse? Its the DNC. And on a positive note maybe we can get a real third party like the Green Party going once everyone has seen how fricking worthless and corrupted the DNC has become and they get bitchslapped for the next 8 years, if that happens? Then Trump was a positive change and you whinging politically correct girlie men can go cry in your safe space for all I care.

This is why MSFT has been selling trialware free PCs in their store and offering Windows for certain designs (such as 7in convertibles) at lower prices or even free with the stipulation that there is no trialware as it slows Windows down.

Speaking of convertibles, has anybody had any luck installing Linux on one?
