If it doesn't play in the device you want it to, take it back to the store you bought it at. Believe me, people returning CDs to the retailer because they won't play will have even more impact with companies like Sony-BMG than complaining on a website will. The cost to the distributor for items returned to a physical point of sale can be several time the cost of manufacturing the item.
A retail outlet won't put up with faulty products for any length of time if people make a point of returning them, because they have to eat the loss.
The buyer has the power, you will survive a lot longer without buying music than Sony-BMG will survive not selling it.
Information technology is the pinnacle of the technology tree. For it to have real impact you need to have a lot of other technologies that it can help you manage. The computer revolution has pushed productivity in the developed world through the roof in the last 15 years, but that is because we already had communication, transportation and production systems in place that could be automated and otherwise take advantage of the computer.
If you are a person that still depends upon muscle power as your primary means of producing food, it's hard to see how a laptop will help you be more productive. You can control a tractor, a factory, an airplane or a car with a microprocessor and gps, but not a mule.
One of the most common promotions of these systems I have heard is that it well help people in remote villages get better prices for their crops, but I really doubt that. The dominant factor in the sale price of crops in primative economies is the cost of transportion. Knowing the price of corn in a large city several hundred miles away isn't going to help that much.
MIT seems to be marketing these now more as an educational tool and less as a communications tool, but I can't help but think that in a country like Niger, the money would be better spent building a decent road system.
Installing a goddamn rootkit on your customers computers, that they use to work and bank with is fucking criminal.
Spreading the word and not buying their products will do far more to teach them a lesson than anything a court or government can muster at this day and age.
Let everyone that is less tech savy than you know what they are doing. Word of Mouth is the best advertisement there is and also the best anti-adverstisement there is.
The pratical aspects of entangling multiple Qubits is still quite hard. I have never heard of an entanglement "string" being longer than 20 or 30 Qubits or being maintained long enough to do any meaningful computation.
As I understand it, and I don't understand it well at all, you need to have an entanglement "string" as long as the number is wide to factor the number. In other word, you need 128-qubits entangled to factor a 128-bit number.
It's amazing how AMD use has grown from word of mouth and reviews in tech mags. The advertising that AMD does do seems to be aimed at power-gamers and techies.
Then again, providing value (faster processor for less money) counts for more than people in advertising would like to believe.
across 5km, Then post something under this comment. A system that can talk at 50Mbit+ at 3-5km ranges with power draws in the 5W range and low weight is something I would be very interested in hearing about. If you can post a web page link that would be good. A system that supports 802.xx standard is preferable.
I can't think of a couple that deserve each other more than these two.
And though, neither of them has a womb capable of giving birth to an original or creative concept, I am sure that through much straining and grunting, wailing and gnashing of teeth, some new horror will take root in the bowels of one of these monstrosities.
The longer they keep your money, the more money they can make off of it.
Anyone that does business with a bank that isn't federally insured or regulated is asking for a screwing.

Are you arguing that they are not a world government or that they are a world government?
The UN is a gathering of DIPLOMATS, i.e. SPIES.
I never voted for anyone occupying a chair on the UN and therefore I don't recognize their authority.
Censorship and taxes that is what this "world summit" hopes to gain.

stop self-medicating and get a job.
This a pathetic attempt to get some funding so the researchers won't have to go back to making fries.
GRODZILLA!

Also the light from the sun is a lot less intense in Northern California in the fall than it would be off the coast of Africa.

I couldn't resist.
Just in case your still looking at this topic.
That's a lot more intimidating.

Anyone have any info on power requirements or weight on this equipment?
Birds routinely use tools as do monkeys. No wonder mountain gorillas are almost extinct.
Working is just something you have to do, get a life outside of the office.
LOL
I never get the funny spam.

The former minister of Defense in Cameroon needs my help to get his fortune out of the country. Can I used paypal for that?
Actually, it would be more accurate to say it's not a licensed bank.

Maybe 'face' recognition systems could use the same strategy for free research.
