"Scarcity is a necessary economic principle even for intellectual items, and without it, you won't see anyone interested in producing intellectual works."
Since Copyright is relatively new, you are actually saying that no intellectual works were produced before somone invented the Copyright law?
The scarcity is produced by the state, with help of Copyright law, to help producers of intellectual works recieving monoy for their work. What is actually happening is that the Copyright law has been kidnapped by the media industry and is used against the most part of intellectual producers to the benefit of a few ant to the benefit of media industry. Less than 10 % of what you pay for a song, end up in the hands of the producer of the Work.
Copyright law is flawed and should be reviewed in the interest of the society instead, as now happens, in the interest of media industry.
There is a good solution to this. Do not buy music, films, games and commercial software. Use open source instead of copying. If everyone do this, the media producers and software companies will lick our feet.
He is just showing the world that they are building their revenues on monopoly, and that they do not like competition, as it has the tendency to lower margins. This is the behaviour that our politicians are protecting with new privacyinvading laws and software patents.
If something is legal, then it should not be called illegal. If I make a copy of a DVD, and give it to a friend, then that is legal, but the "copyright owner" say it is illegal. They are LYING!
In Sweden, the switch is almost done, everyone has analogue tv's and those who doesn't use cable, had to buy a digital thingie. None will but digital tv until they have no choice. And it is just recently they have been available
I second this opinion. One of the reasons I favor GPL is that I don't have to hazzle with licenses. If Oracle can sell software without copy-protection, so can you. Those who dont want to pay, wont pay anyway.
Actually, it is not as easy to infect Linux and Mac as it is to infect Windows, and all computers in that botnet are windowsmachines.
But I won't say what people use windows.;)
I think that the media companies should stop pushing their luck. The copyright has been kidnapped by the mediacompanies and that it is time to review it. The idea with copyright is to protect the right of the creator, not the rights of multinational companies.
Of course it would, the problem is that monopoly thing that stiffles competition, raises prices och reduces choise.
If Microsoft didnt have near monopoly on OS and the other things, it would work, but as it is, allowing them to do things like this reduces competition and it is bad for everyone except Microsoft.
I'm not worried. Live messenger crash when it starts and 1 time out of 10, a page is readable in live mail. There is no way Microsoft will make this work!
I think you should find another mother! That way you would be more comfortable.
Install Gimp on windows, wouldnt cost them a penny, or a cent or anything except their time.

I wasnt referring to Apple as monopolists, I was referring to apple as competition.

You should try Burkina Faso.
Often, BMW and wreckless driving are linked together. I wonder if they are just as stupid when they choose an overpriced german car.
It is more like,
Do you want your car with a 4 cylinder engine for 400$
or
do you want your car with a 8 cylinder engine for free?
why anyone bother to try to lock people in or out. I think that it would be better to open it up, and let everyone use the ipod like they want.
None at PC World, obviously.
There is no such thing as an "admin". In windows everyone has administrator rights.

If it is legal, then it is not illegal ;)
Actually, I got the question if I wanted to install it. Maybe you just klicked by, as usual in windows?

I agree totally with you! Everone should just do as I tell them. After all , I am smarter than everyone else.

That's not necessary, all that is needed is to block computers with Microsoft Windows from connecting to internet.
Profit
Why not just use bittorrent?

I dont have to document it, Microsoft has already done it.
;)
Their recommended workaround is to unset the broadcast-bit.
You don't have a clue of what you are talking about, thats why you are trolling.
