The problems that are occuring today have to do with the kind of society America has become. The employment of both parents is increasing more and more. This means that less and less time is spent with the kids instilling proper values. Instead, things like video games and television are used to raise kids.
Lame excuse. If you're too busy, grab grandma and grandpa. If they aren't availble, try a church. That might break down the materialistic thinking a bit. If parents would stop whining, take responsiblity, and do thier jobs as parents we'd be better.
From this crime, I need to email my COngressmen again for the idea of Bad Parent Fine Act - if a kid does something wrong, parent gets a fine of $1,000 * (kid's age with limit of 18 yo) while kid gets normal penalties.
Unless you lock your kid in the basement, he's going to be raised, whether you like it or not, by plenty of other people.
Then teach your kid core values so they know who to stay away from. I learned that when I was 4 yo and gun safety at 6 yo. Just teach your kid and don't blame us for your lack of effort.

Sounds like Aqua for Linux fans need to re-write the GUI code. I like GNOME but I also prefer less eye candy. Mac OS does have neat visual effects but they are pointless. Heck, BlackBox is the best GUI really. Fast, reliable, and simple.

My X-box used to freeze while loading, crash randomly, and the hard drive failed after the DVD couldn't read disks. It was great! $300 for a paperweight.
Nintendo is dying here as well. I just hope they'll drop making hardware and just make games for other consoles. I'd love to play a Zelda game in my gf's Xbox or play a Mario game on PS2.
Nintendo is making great games but many of them are aimed at the kiddies. As much as I love Mario and Link, I can't play the new games since they're for kids. And endlessly reusing the same characters does get old. If Nintendo can make games for the older crowd that does buy games with new ideas, chracters, etc, they'd do better.
Microsoft does want to own the gaming market but with what? Halo and halo 2?
But anyone notice this crap happened right after Bush took office? Napster was shutdown and had to go ligit, alternative P2P programs pop-up, and now **AA is trying to make laws so they can control their copyright content at the expense of our privacy. If their music/films were so important to them and they want profit, why not lower prices on DVDs, stop giving actors upgodly high salaries, and stop annoying their customers?
I think that is a Debian based distro made for games, had the most video drivers for the cards, and had core of OS setup for games email Web etc, then companies would port games to Linux once that distro gained popularity. An open source FPS using Tux, BSD Daemon, and random animals would get people's attention. Who wouldn't love to have Tux gun down a puppy?
It took years, lots of lawsuits, and ruined bank accounts but RIAA is finally seeing that downloading (by purchase) music in a format the customer wants is the way to go. I'd prefer to have my music in.ogg file format and burn it to CD for my car. If I can find a reason to get a MP3 player, I'd try to get one that supports.ogg format. The fact we can now make DVD audio disks means we can now put loads of songs from one musician or band onto a disk and be done.
If a corporation is making millions a day by contracts with OEMs, caused companies to depend on Office like crack, and made video gamers wet their pants twice over the Xbox with all 2 good games, then say they're going out of business?
