  1. Who's really to blame? on Miami Court Orders Take Two to Hand Over Bully · · Score: 2, Insightful

Funny how Jack's tried in the past over a school-shooting to get $33-mil for damages because the kid who did the shooting played "Violent" video games such as Final Fantasy, had a copy of The Basketball Diaries, and accessed porn sites. Parents no where to be found? I'm rather sick of this guy.

Where were the parents when these kids get the games, obtains movies, and accesses the porn sites? Jacky-boy. Put the blame where it is due. I have no problems with my kid and porn or video games because I monitor what he does on the computer, consoles, and DVD-player, and I'll be damned if some born-again Christian thinks he can control how I control my kid.

Some kid shoots people and you try to get the kids parents $33-million? Idiot...

  2. Mine loves Chevelle on The Perception of 'Random' on the iPod · · Score: 2, Interesting

...well, used to. Then I made a different playlist and labeled it as "Upbeat" music. Now It loves Motion City Soundtrack. Now, I like all the music I have on my iPod (duh) but its very noticeable when I hear the same song 3 times in one hour 30 minutes worth of driving. I can tell you that over the last 2 days (4 hours of driving) I have heard Foo Fighters' "Enough Space" 6 times out of 231 songs. Does the iPod sense higher played songs/albums/groups or is its randomness just that awful? 2GB Nano 1g

  3. Ohh Mommy! on Invisible Unmanned Aircraft · · Score: 1

It's 2008's hottest toy for Christmas! Sales figures look to be double because parents will be forced to buy twice as many since their kids keep saying they're disappearing!

  4. yeahhhh, right there, oh oh ohhhh, joygasm on LimeWire Sues RIAA for Antitrust Violations · · Score: 1

Even if nothing happens, at least I got a good laugh with (at?) Limewire and the RIAA (yeah, definitely laughing AT them). It just adds a new paragraph to this already hilarious and ridiculous saga.

  5. I hope they dont on Copyright Axe To Fall On YouTube? · · Score: 4, Insightful

Seriously, it is coming to the point that you can't even whistle your favorite song without being sued for copyright infringement.

Isn't that what YouTube basically does? User posted content? A person plays their favorite song, a person dances to their favorite song, a person posts a music video thats already available on MTV/VH1 (when those stations actually play music 1 hour a week).

Mark this, the end of cover bands, the end of whistling while you work, and the end of free speech.

  6. I'll tell you what on Being Scared in Games is Needed · · Score: 1

Nothing really scares me when it comes to artificial horror like movies and TV shows, but the game F.E.A.R. scared the shiat out of me, and I hype the game to all my friends!

  8. Who's Next? on RIAA Sues XM Satellite Radio · · Score: 2, Informative

First off, they get no money from it? I thought you had to pay for XM. Wouldn't XM have to pay it's dues to RIAA for playing the music? So you're recording a broadcast you are paying for. So that's like DVR-ing pay-per-view?

So RIAA and the MPAA can eventually have a lawsuit that retros pack to the beginning of the VHS/cassette era because, hell, SLP on VHS I could get 3 movies per VHS cassette and I could have an easy 2 hours of music on a music tape. Oh wait, even further back because you could record to vinyl if you had the cash for the machine.

So now it comes to the iPod. I suppose that every device and it's makers can get sued if any of their devices can record. That means the RIAA should target companies such as Sony, Clarion, Kenwood, Philips, Toshiba, Magnavox, and Eclipse (which is family with Toyota). Yeah, good luck with that RIAA. I'm sure Sony or Toyota would give you a reach around when they're done.

One has to think... Are they only targeting XM because XM is in a somewhat battered state right now?

  9. Reminds Me of... on Microsoft Sued Over Alleged Xbox 360 Defects · · Score: 2

The SNES that melted down when someone plugged in their new copy of Super Metroid and tried to play it. On the other hand, I think it was BBSpot.com that best said it when "Microsoft (was) bridging the gap between Consoles and PC's" when they released the 360 Crash edition.

  10. Bow Chicka Bow Wow on Zone Alarm Vs 180 Solutions: Zango hooks? · · Score: 1

Interesting. I had a call come in this morning, and ZangoToolbar was something recognized by Trend OfficeScan Anti-virus as a ADW Virus. Open /. and here is the story. Well orchestrated. I'm buying Zango a pizza.

  11. Re:Questions on IE More Secure Than Mozilla? · · Score: 1

Perfect point. Firefox has been out, let alone popular for how long? IE has had many versions. I'd like to see numbers vs numbers. How many security patches has IE needed since version 6, and how many Firefox has needed since 1.0?

  12. Re:one thing I can say is... on Windows Vista & IE7 Beta 1 Released · · Score: 1

Great point. I too made the transition over to Apple with the purchase of my iBook a year ago, and I'm still impressed. I still am a dual-user meaning I use XP and OS X. OS X is great for everyday computing, and, for right now, XP is only good for gaming. When they port BF2 and FarCry to Mac, I'll be a solid Mac user. All this stuff I've been reading about on Vista is not impressing me at all, and its all the small things that impress me. Even hardcore Windows users don't have all kind words to say either.

  13. Whew, only M$ lovers on Your Chance to Meet Bill Gates · · Score: 1

  14. Bork Bork Bork on Which is Better, Firefox or Opera? · · Score: 1

I love Firefox for being free and easy to use. I downloaded Opera, but didn't like that I'd get ads while I browse unless I pay for it. Now, perhaps the coolest Extension for Firefox is translating the page such as the Swedish Chef would read it (for those who remember the Muppets) known as "Bork Bork Bork". In a very close second place tie, Google Preview and TabBrowser Preferences.
