Firefox has been around 30% for the last year, while IE dropped 10% in the same time, and Chrome gained 10%.
If this trend continues then it might balance out at 30/30/30/10 for IE/Firefox/Chrome/Other. Which should be good for everyone I think. There is no holy browser (except lynx), so a good balance of users should make sites more standard compliant in the end.
You might be interested in these numbers: 339170 Homebrew Channel installations ( http://hackmii.com/2010/08/the-scope-of-homebrew-channel/ ). Of 70mil Wiis ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wii ) We are talking about about 0.5% of the consoles having been "homebrew enabled", this is pretty much a required step for running 'backups' on the Wii. (Not all homebrew installs are for piracy, but a lot are) Yes, piracy happens, but only in a small amount. And the Wii is ridiculously easy to hack.
You don't grade a game to future options. I think the first doom got 9/10 at the time it came out. But if you release doom now, would it still deserve those scores? You grade a game compared to the other games out there, and there is little like portal out there.
"Civ 5 sucks, 1/10. It doesn't work with my 2050 Brain Machine interface, and it doesn't output holographic graphics"
In France you can buy the iPhone unlocked without a plan. (required by the government) comparing that price to all other unlocked phones only the Nexus One is more expensive (at 700). A cheap Android phone costs you 200 euro, an expensive one 400-500.
You had to 'use' the monitor to view it. I think Unreal (or atleast Unreal Tournament) was the first engine that managed to render a 3D back to a texture and display it ingame. And that's more then 10 years old.
While people can say that the old ddraw works fine in Win7, that's all nice and everything. But sometimes we want more then just the old school graphics and gameplay. In this case we can hack the ddraw layer to add extra features like a higher resolution, AA or HQ2x or something like that.
I tried to do this with Direct3D7 for TheTypingOfTheDead, to run it at higher resolutions, but I failed. Maybe if I use this code as base I have a better shot at it.
GPL is much wider then just the code. GPL states that anything linked to it needs to be GPL. But in the case of PHP this is a bit fuzzy, when is it linked or not?
GPL is made for C programs running on something you own. The cases of interpreted code, and code running on a webserver hosting services are not covered in it. So I can customize wordpress, run it on my own server, and nobody has any right to get the source then. Except for myself.
What ever happened to eyes and intuition? If one way streets confuse you as a driver, you shouldn't be driving and are a menace to society. If you look up directions to somewhere, and upon actually driving there you realize that the area is all one ways, doesn't intuition tell you that you might have to actually drive an extra block or two so that you can make your way back to your destination without driving the wrong way? Personally, I would think the big signs that say ONE WAY and have a large arrow pointing in the direction of traffic would be enough, but apparently people are too glued to their navigation screen to bother actually looking at the world around them.
Ghostbusters?

You can't give a game a 10.
Portal.
Of course, when it becomes self aware (any day from now) its first game will be a twisted variation of duck hunt.
They are finally going to shoot that dog?

The difference is that you payed $600 for the iPhone.
IE7 (on WinXP 32 bit) stops at the first test because of a script failure. Are you sure it still ran?
Took wel over 40 seconds on my 3.6.9 Linux Firefox, freezing my other tabs most of the time. But it did finish.
Be careful that you don't become what you are fighting.
Nah, the respawn time sucks in Afghanistan.

though of course, you're still using Outlook.
Beats using Lotus Notes as email client. *curses at work*
I am looking at this in the context of scriptability.
Wasn't executing interpreted code disallowed?
Not to be confused with IOS
The firefox google page is always the same: http://www.google.com/firefox

Correct analogy would be that they would only service the car if they also could remove the headlights.
Hydrogen has a tendency to explode, not to burn slowly like a common fuel fire, where only the vapors burn.
I'm still looking for the:

Grab 2 points on the same line, the resistance on the transmission line should generate something to work with.

By hand, without knowing the city. Some places are one-way mazes. Just drag the destination around a bit.
If this is "success", then what would failure look like?
