This is a problem with the employee not the system. I understand there are always exceptions but bills that cannot be paid are the fault of the employee. It's not really that hard. Spend less than you make. Do everything you can to avoid interest (other than a house I can't see a need to ever pay interest.) and always pay extra on the principal.

With those two rules you'll always have low costs and a safety cushion.

Zeidenberg is a chimp. He had 3 different pieces of phone book software. All he had to do was only use records found in all 3 products. Including the fake listings resulted in the suit and in proCD being able to prove they used their product. Only including listings in multiple books would have made him bullet proof.

As to why he didn't push the appeal. Both he and his lawyer were over stressed. His lawyer, at the time, is the husband of a coworker at the time. The lawyer was fresh out law school. He never said if he was working pro-bono or not but it seemed to be the case. They were simply too tired to continue. "It just wasn't worth it anymore." or something along those lines.

Your statement is not correct. What Grokster states is that: "We hold that one who distributes a device with the object of promoting its use to infringe copyright, as shown by clear expression or other affirmative steps taken to foster infringement, is liable for the resulting acts of infringement by third parties."

The key words here are "promoting", "clear expression, and "affirmative steps". The software rights holder has to take an active role. If the software rights holder promotes their program as a method of copyright infringement they are liable. If not they're not. No where in MGM vs. Grokster does it state they have to police content.

Most anthropologists and cognitive scientists, who actual study human beings and culture, would disagree with you. Just because they are explicitly taught does not mean they are not also instinctual. If something is instinctual then by definition it's not taught. Also it's impossible for incest to be instinctual or unlearned since there is no way to tell if someone is your sibling unless you are taught they are.

But more to the point, you're right; I misspoke. What I meant was, we don't bring these things into the public sphere. We don't use the bathroom in public, we go in a little private room. We don't have sex in public, we normally go in a private place, and it's illegal to do otherwise. I don't understand. People talk about sex and bathroom all the time in public. You'd never said "I have to go to the bathroom" or some variation in public. Just because something happens in private doesn't mean we can't talk about it in public. Everyday human interaction shows your position to be false.

Some taboos are universal, such as not having sex with a sibling, or not pooping in public. This is not true. Both of these are cultural. We are taught both these things. Neither are natural, inherent, or universal.

A taboo doesn't mean these things don't exist; it means you don't bring them into the public sphere. This is not related to my comment. Please respond on topic. You said "taboo subjects are taboo because they refer to things that we wouldn't encounter in everyday life." I said that this is wrong because the things you list you encounter in everyday life. How is shit, piss, and fucking not part of everyday life? How did you get here? How do you remove waste from your body? Shitting and pissing isn't an everyday thing for you? You need to have that looked at.

Have the seen the prevelance of potty humor? In all levels of entertainment. Children's cartoons make shit and piss jokes all the time. The message is the same regardless of what words are used. Why is ok to use one word in telling these jokes but not another? That's the definition of arbitrary.
A joke is one way to handle a taboo subject. A medical discussion is another. However, there are other contexts in which taboo subjects are inappropriate. Once again you're evading. Please address the topic you started and I responded to. Why is potty humor ok for children with some words but not other words? The subject is the same only the words are different. EQ2 doesn't tie crafting to char level. DAOC didn't have level based crafting. That covers the whole history of mass market MMPOGs.

This needs to be top down. Increasing eletric demand (using electric cars) will simple increase electrical production through current methods (fossil fuels). It's cheaper to burn more coal than to build new facilities.

You equate driving an electric car with demand for clean grid. This is wrong. Buying an electric car is increasing your electrical usage. Unless you actively seek and purchase your electricity from clean sources and refuse to buy it from dirty sources you are in no way increasing your demand for clean grid. A car has nothing to do with that. You can already do that.

We've entered the repetition phase so unless you have something new in your response I'm done. Thanks.
