My content is legal - I already owned lots of CDs, and rip them onto the iPod.:)
I do recognize that I'd have to use DRM if I weren't doing this - and it does bother me.
Dell has the 2405FP for less money than the 1920x1200 version, and Viewsonic has a 3840x2400 display.
Dell's being sued along with Intel for monopolistic business practices. *shrug*
I'm thinking about switching to a Mac. I have an iPod, and I recognize that it came to me through a combination of brand recognition and system usability (not just the iPod but also iTunes).

That's fine when the network is client/server, like cell phones. The base station shared by the phones allots time and frequencies. This would not be such a network. Unless the base stations were quite advanced, recognizing other similar base stations and parceling out frequencies and timings, you would get serious overlap.
As the owner of a small business, while you're right about the business profiting from having the *option* to accept credit cards, it's financially better for your employees to handle cash. That's why they count the till at the end of the day.
This is extremely relevant - Card's a pretty screwed up guy. I don't think it should be modded troll - this is a conversation many people here are interested in having.
It seems to me that nobody here trusts banks. Why not simply keep enough cash on you for your purchases, and have less to worry about? I can understand having a credit card for emergencies, and a debit card for getting the cash out, but if you leave your debit card at home when you're not getting cash, it can't be stolen anyway.
Personally, I'm not a fan of a company like Citigroup getting 3-4% of any purchase I make, and I'd prefer not to cut the profit margins of the small businesses I shop at in that way.
Treehugger just had a great article on Prius versus Echo. It's very close - Echo uses less energy to produce, but Prius gets better gas mileage. If you drive about 7,000 miles with your Prius, you break even with the Echo. Also, less gas overall costs you less.

Batteries are very, very expensive, and use nonrenewables. Dodge is coming out with a hybrid diesel this year, but the injectors may have trouble with biodiesel (like the recent Golf injectors).
You are right, though - what about fuel cell / diesel hybrids?
I'm much more interested in what the article didn't cover - does this system, in Intel mode, have three working PCI-E x8 or x16 slots? The connector for the daughterboard looks to be the same as another PCI-E slot (but offset) - does it have to be enabled by jumper, or can you get three PCI-E devices to run at once?
That's because you (and I) have thousands of Dell PCs. You're not under the same service contract, or even talking to the same service personnel, as a home user.
I'm opposed to NASA? I didn't say anything about the $8 billion for research and education, I was talking about the $10 billion used to maintain the shuttle, go to mars, etc, as mentioned earlier in the thread. They have an $18 billion budget.
Calling parents lazy shows me you know little about education. Urban planning is probably the largest cause, as well as architecture. Look up CPTED sometime. If we designed our schools differently, we'd kill bullying and a lot of the posturing we have today before it started.
Excuse me, but IANAL, but the laws quoted refer to a commercial venture. If Jared is not profiting or intending to profit, he may not be liable.

My iPod doesn't have any DRM'd content on it. I'm using MP3 only, because it's the best supported format out there.
Were you unaware that the iPod supports MP3?
As I said, I don't use any DRM'd formats.

I build all my own computers and will never use DRM'd content - and the iPod is my device of choice.

This sounds to me like it'll be short-lived. More than ten people in your neighborhood get one and it's all over.

...I want to work there...
I'm a road cyclist now, and in comparison to my $3000 bike, this is competitive.

Yeah, and the BSOD gives you a good indication of what's wrong. On XP, if you get one, you get the name of the service/driver.
There are already LEED architectural and design standards. Follow them, and you don't need this stuff.

Mod parent up. This is a dupe.

And when I go to their shows, I buy a CD, in cash, from them. The ones who don't make the effort to put together a show, I don't bother listening to.

And because it's called a "Creative Muvo NX 256meg," it doesn't sell like an "iPod" does.
As long as something is called an "iPod Killer," there will be no brand recognition - except for the iPod brand.
