You can always "take ownership" and then change permissions.
There is a decent advantage of having to use this hack: 99.9% of malware doesn't check or modify file permissions. Just like how setting the read-only flag used to work (perhaps still does?).
remember that the mean share ratio across all users is exactly 1.0
Receiving 200MB of a 200MB file doesn't mean you have everything. Checksum errors are fairly common on BitTorrent, and redownloading the entire piece (size depends on the.torrent, seems to be 512 KB most of the time) is the only option. This makes the actual ratio more like 1:1.0005 or so.
It also means that if everyone has exactly 1.0, someone will likely be missing a piece.
This is true, I even messed with it once. Except that inputting BASIC (with a controller and on screen keyboard too) is well... no way I'm going to do that again.
PCs (of whatever flavor) are so much more capable and customizable than consoles
This is exactly why people like consoles for gaming. There's no need to customize stuff all over before things work.
I believe Opera copied tabs (altough it had not-really-comparable MDI before) from NetCaptor. It doesn't really matter anyway, tabbed programs have been around for ages.

This is actually a weird zoom problem. If you zoom in, it works fine. I think there are some more switched names at different zoom levels.

Except that "c:\home" makes no sense to your average user. I mean, whose home is it anyway? Home to windows? "My home"?

Because people actually want XBoxes. It's the newest fad (of some sorts). If you have one, you're cool and not going to use it much.
Well, that's how it works over here in the Netherlands...
