QWERTZ representing from Germany, and I must say that it's not easy to type \ here:
On Windows machines, you type the right-hand side "Alt" and "?" for a \. If you're on a laptop without a right-hand side "Alt" key you're going to need documentation on how to get a \. With a bit of luck it's Function-Alt-?.
On Mac machines it's a lot easier: You type Alt-Shift-7, except where the \ symbol is very likely printed on your Windows keyboard, on Mac none of the Alt-combinations are.
On german HP UNIX keyboards it used to be worse than that, but maybe they've changed their layout now.
\ is a bad choice also because it is used as a quotation character in a LOT of languages.
Honestly, same here. Some of those headlines are becoming really hard to read.
"Wiretapping": verb. The FBI is wiretapping something. "is" omitted as in many headlines.
"Audit": verb. The FBI's act of wiretapping is auditing something (Huh?)
"Secrets": verb. The Audit of the FBI's wiretapping is leaking something. Wait isn't "secrete" writting with an extra "e"?
"Uncovered": verb, passive. By now I'm sort doubtful I got it right in the fourth attempt.
"Via Ctrl+C": By what?
It took me reading the link in the original post to figure they meant a key press and not a screen name or a publication I wasn't familiar with, also helped me sort the four verbs into some semblance of legal grammar.
How about: "Copy & Paste Reveals FBI Wiretapping Audit Secrets"?
It's a bit hard to read actually with lots of far future predictions that may or not make it, but that makes it good SF in my book.
A stable superheavy atom is one of them. Sense filters for live editing of your own sense input to accomodate your personal preferences like making everybody look and behave like a Victorian - who may in turn see you as a bit avatar speaking in binary. Editing of personalities say to merge with others, creating completely new neuroforms.
"Erm, do we still have radio contact with home? I think I saw Earth just flick out."
"No. Funny, I can see stars behind where it used to be. This can't be good."
"Wait, we're still orbitting *SOMETHING*."
Actually, I think there may be enough collateral radiation from transforming this much mass into a black hole to make life quite uncomfortable in most of this solar system.

I sort of wonder whether he filed a bug report, like he should have done. Messaged on that forum aren't the best way to contact CCP.
I wonder if he had his fingers in this. One hopes not, really.
I've rarely seen a thread rocketing at over 60 postings per hour CREATED BY CCP, with universal agreement from all sides, even some historic CCP supporters.
I mean, it's not really a surprise: Their forums aren't the best. What other forum has built-in search by google and still manages to drive people to a third-party forum search engine made by a fan in flocks?
"News for Nerds. Stuff that matters." Ring a bell? Some of us other nerds actually like listening to those nerds talking.
Oh and "Sharks with frickin' laser beams" is a quote from "Austin Powers", sorry but if you're a Nerd you should perhaps go watch that movie once more. It's a fun movie, and a fun scene.
On the other hand, if you're one of the stray non-Nerds that amble over here every once in a while sorry, please let me point you to the http://www.news.com/ door.
What I haven't seen stressed enough here is that EvE TV is *not* an official CCP effort. These guys have set up a studio, stream servers, moderation, prerecorded features (sorry about the pub scenes *hahaha*), direction, camera people on their own.
Yes, there was some cooperation with CCP, but the LEVEL of professionalism is still very amazing considering there's noone earning money through this as far as I can tell.
That's what keeps baffling me about the EvE Community: The amount of work and money people are willing to sacrifice to provide service for the rest of the community.
Check the stats upper left corner on http://www.eve-files.com/ and tell me you're not impressed this site is neither charging nor even earning money through banner ads.
lots of people try buying expensive ships or even whole month-old characters which is frowned-upon for some reason:
Without the knowledge on how to use them, that doesn't work too well. Spend those months honing your skills in smaller ships and figuring even more workable fittings. Try taking out an NPC cruiser with a frig.
If you can't after 14 days of skilling combat, you may want to work on your tactics instead.
Of course, if all you want is quick hour of fun after work I'd say you don't need a MMORPG.
I regularly do something like
$ ps -augwwx | grep per[l]
with an extra [] pair around some part of the grep expression, so it doesn't find the grep command.
Doesn't work. From an office that got shut down, I got an aluminium suitcase with two three-digit combination locks.
I figured I could brute force that in half an hour, so I sat down and started on the first.
Correct combination was 997.
Then I tried the second, but after 500 I got smart and did the other half starting from 999 down.
Correct combination was 511.

You then get choices of
A) "Please enter the password to decrypt it, Sir"
B) "We'll keep your storage till we've got it decrypted, or lose it."
You may want to google for "ECHELON industrial espionage" for more details and examples.
Right, I had one moment where I thought that hitting Ctrl+C would somehow reveal that the FBI is auditing you, too.

Remember school: Passive is bad for you.
At this point I'd like to recommend John C. Wright's "Golden Age":

Wow, thanks for summarizing the article so pointedly. Well done.
Well yeah, you know: GNU could now officially stand for "GNU's not UNG", too.
> UNG, which stands for UNG's not GNU
Wait is it april's fool's already?
Actually, one of the EVE Players caught the BOOT.INI deletion on the test server on december 3rd and reported it in a forum:

Hi Mom.
... or is Microsoft hiring bot nets to spam flood someone?
Just when did it go out of fashion to type the full term at least once before going into acronym overdrive?
