sat radio is just like cable tv... they start by telling you its worth the $$ because it's better picture (sound) and commercial free.... now look at cable tv... heck look at mtv specifically... do they even play music anymore?

i am pretty sure blu-ray adds a thing called BD+ over the top of VC-1 to prevent copying... that way they can say they support VC-1 as a standard but they cripple it with BD+ on top of it...

with wifi in the next gen consoles they should know when they are sitting next to another console and share data if you want. Also, I wouldnt be surprised if the gold xbox live allowed you to transfer via the net to another xbox... maybe even friends...

dont lock yourself into thinking the way its always been... console should be advancing well beyond memory sticks.

Anyone wonder why Sony even bothers with using memory sticks at all? Havent we evolved enough in the console market to expect a built in means for saving game data? Sony gets to continue to bilk you for the price of buying these little one generation piles of junk. Why?

wow i agreed with everything you said (and it was well said) until you ended your post with an amazing contridiction to everything you said. "Every individual should be allowed to interpret the truth as they see fit.." Truth exists externally to anyones interpretation - it has to or else your defining truth as something a few people deifne and make everyone else adhere to. Thats not truth - thats LAW (or dictatorship). Truth has nothing to do with your interpretation.

"What I fail to see is why anyone who had a well functioning bot would enter this kind of contest" This is a great point and could be tied nicely to the first post about "what's the catch?" Anyone consider this whole contest as a way for online casinos to ferret out the best bots out there merely to determine how they work to prevent them from working. It's a big problem in online poker where people would attach multiple bots to the same table all sharing the same bankroll - this gives the bot more information about what the human plays do not have - it's possible to be the only human at a cash table playing against a bot who knows the contets of the other 8 hands - your odds go down considerably in this situation. Some online poker sites have people dedicated to detecting these types of bots but I wonder how well they are able to detect them in reality. Having this contest would be a clever way for them to learn more about how they work and find better ways to detect a bot. Then again I don't worry too much about playing against SINGLE bots because any human can purchase or use an odds calculator that will tell you your odds in real-time giving you the same info a bot would use to base decision on. The advantage there would be you could deviate from the plan at any point to bluff or read an opponent. This puts you about even with most bots out today i would image... and i wont even get into the programs that cracked the dealing algorithms of "some" online casinos...

$350 is a little high based soley on inflation. From http://www.westegg.com/inflation/ : What cost $300 in 2001 would cost $325.35 in 2005. Plus you have to take into account that in general the economy in the US at least hasnt been all that great over the last 4 years so keeping the price the same seems to make a lot of sense.
