Compare software to drinks. Some is like a strong brandy. Some is like a fine wine. The OS you're using works like Diet Coke./Paraphrased Pavarotti quote
As a die hard PC/MSFT user, I have to say that the iPod is really the pinnacle of mp3 players. The look/feel is clearly superior to any other products.
Plus you also get some "trendy" intangible benifits similar to the ones Starbucks and Banana Republic bestow. You cannot underestimate that.
Finally, my thoughts are that Bill kinda likes Apple being there as "anti-monopoly" insurance.
Apple is trying to venture into the set top box territory with the miniMac, so there is a little competition with Windows Media Center so it will be interesting to see how that space shapes up...
I feel like the 80/20 rule applies here. If we look at what the shuttle really does (and did in two examples) it was to put satellites in orbit. This can easily be done with robotics and the like. It also ferries people to the ISS (for what reason I have no idea). This ranks up there with "space tourism".
As far as going to Mars, this is a "fame and glory" exercise (a la JFK) and is trying to solve a completely different problem.
I feel that the one size fits all isint the way to go and also since there really isint anything too commercially viable to justify spending the loot for Mars. The focus should be what the mission really is for. Satellites. The profit that can drive a serious program.

I am suprised there isint an option or key that the employees could use to install the app without putting the malware on their machine.
Also, why would the employees need to install this software? Surely not for testing...?
A personal example I can site is Ghost in the Shell. I got all of the fansub anime (which is not available here AFAIK) and because of my heightened interest saw the movie Innocence.
They would not have gotten my money had I not been "brought up to speed" by the fansub. I have also contributed to their pockets by buying the hardcopy they produced.
I think it is another example of not taking advantage of the "new marketing"

I cant wait for the SDK for this. Now is my chance to come out with a really cool mod like making cyberdemon into GW.
When is the Halflife board game coming out?
-got nuthin:)
I think Lavasoft stuff is cool too, but unfortunately having Grandma use it on a regular basis isint realistic. Anything they can do to help would be worth something...

All the better to peep you with my dearie!
knowing that their major contribution to MSFT is as a "pawn"? Would make me feel kinda low and want to learn Linux :)

Why would someone use this as opposed to Wikipedia?

Can you imagine how small it would be?
I know this will be modded troll but I love how everything security revolves around an endorsement for "not windows".
They are awesome and have a massive supply of cases and components. For server cases: RackMountPro.com rocks pretty hard also.
