Simple. You have samba already, setup openssh on a machine with nics on the inside and outside of your network.
On your win32 clients, setup putty (use latest dev version) with a tunnel to port 139 to your fileserver, map the network drive on windows as \\127.0.0.1\sharename
They claim to the be the first carrier in North American to do so... as well as an extremely agressive service plan.. $40 cdn for unlimited anytime local minutes.... it was just annoucned for Vancouver a few days ago and actually starts today... and I'm assuming eventually will be for the rest of the country.
Acutally, the barcode on the BC driver's license is precisely done like that... it's looks all wierd, not like a not a "regular" barcode that you see in Walmart.... not sure if it's easily reproducible.... could be I suppose.
"Thank you for your interest in Windows Update
Windows Update is the online extension of Windows that helps you get the most out of your computer.
The latest version of Windows Update is available on computers that are running Microsoft Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows Millennium Edition, Windows 2000 (except Windows 2000 Datacenter Server), Windows XP, and the Windows Server 2003 family."
That's how they plan to deal with the attacks? Just put up a simple html page? What if I wanna do an update?
Just a small note, if anyone cares - Only the the recent model PS2's will play DVD+R. Go with DVD-R's if this is an issue.
Why do people do this?

Why do people bother with doing crap like this? Just because they can? This guy has the mentality of a script kiddy. Someone find his info and organize a snailmail spam-a-thon.
>Locutus differs from most other P2P networks on several levels, most prominently its focus on security....The application is only 400k in size, but many users will notice that the download is over 20MB. This is because Locutus relies on Microsoft's.NET framework, and if a user doesn't have.NET they will automatically download a version of the installer that does.
Hmm... focus on security, yet uses.NET? I don't understand....
Not sure which is better, Quicktime player that crashes my phone half the time and nags me to pay to upgrade it everytime I make a phone call, or a Windows Media Player on my phone that updates itself with pyschedelic screen patterns, making it slower and slower each time...
The main complaint I have about OO is that it cannot open password protected Excel files. I'm sure that this is a fairly major barrier because I bet that it is fairly common practice to password protect spreadsheets (since they typically contain sensitive financial numbers).
I use the word processor and it appears pretty good. One nice feature is that it can print multiple pages onto one sheet of paper... (I know there's other ways)..
Start-up speed can be a problem, the win32 version has a pre-loader, not exactly sure if the Linux one does.
Who knows when this will be available... could be years, this might just be a way to boost stock value temporarily without consequence for several years.
Out here in British Columbia, Canada - we've had photo radar for several years and it was stopped some time last year. The cameras where placed in very non-strategic places, such as long straightaways and passing lanes, where it was fairly safe to go over the speed limit.
They could have been place closed to dangerous intersections instead which would have been more useful... basically, the previous government here used it to raise a crapload of money and not use it for traffic saftey and there was a huge public outcry. The goverment was then voted out and the program was discontinued.
We still however have redlight cameras, which make much more sense and the public seem to agree... for the most part they work pretty well out here.
There's this light called the "Glow Guard" (it acts as a screen protector as well, hence "guard").
It uses a very subtle "white, flourenscent looking" light and works very well - it makes the GBA screen appear backlit.

If you want it done right, all you have to do is find a room in the house that you don't need and be prepared to spend several thousands of dollars to prepare it like any proper server facility.... raised floors, fire retardant, probably cabinets, dedicated aircon... the usual.
This looks very slick, however it isn't available for 1900mhz (north american gsm) yet. For some darn reason they always do that, North American GSM seems to be low priority for GSM phone builders.
The problem is that if someone is uninformed about this and is comparison shopping for video cards, goes to a website and finds numbers comparing all the latest video cards.
The user find that everything is benchedmarked using Quake3 #'s and the ATI card performs very well so the user goes out and buys the ATI card based on this knowledge.
After bringing it home and using it, the user will find that the card performs well in Quake 3 but sucks at everything else. The user just got conned into buying the ATI card and is stuck with a fast Quake3 card, not a fast 3d card.
Does bayesian filtering do this to a certain degree, and more so? Ie. Checking for common tokens, including what's in the To and From fields?
That's all you'll need to see your what your neighbors are watching.

That's it! A free solution.

BC driver's licences have both mag strips and barcodes.

I'm assuming if you're capable of setting up all these systems, then you should be able to support it.
Hire 1 or 2 other people to work for you that can cover the other hours that you cannot be there... and there you go, you now have 24 support.
Imagine at beowo.. ahh never mind.

You could always just use a password protected screen saver.... not as hi-tech, but effectively does the same thing... well kinda.

I'm still waiting for someone to do a Linux/XFree86 port for the GBA.
Yes, I'm trying to be silly but no doubt someone will or has already done it.

But 185mb doesn't sound like it's enough to really hold that much. Also a CD-RW version would be a little nicer. They're probably saving that for v2.
