..to coin a phrase. Although the actual game has no DRM in it, the guys at Stardock use the unique serial number method to access online content such as frequent updates and bugfixes, giving people a good incentive to buy it instead of pirating it.
On top of there being no DRM, the game is also $10 cheaper than most retail games, which makes up for there being no multiplayer in it (at the moment.) The guys over at IGN reckon there's multiplayer architecture hidden in the game at the moment, and think they'll incorporate the multiplayer later on as part of their 'geniune advantage' scheme. Who knows, it may boost their game sales up a notch after the initial release sales have died down. Good on 'em!

Half-Life, Halo, Doom, Battlefield, Call of Duty, GUN, KillTheGermans, ShootTheGermans, TortureTheGermansWithGuns, Unreal, Quake, FPS, war, FPS, war! Is anyone else BORED of FPS / war games, or am i the only one?
There needs to be something completely new and original, something nobody has thought of yet. It will sell millions.
I don't agree with what happened in the past, but that can't be changed and people should know, understand and learn from history. Let's educate people with accurate history instead of trying to re-write the past in order to cover up ones shame.
I've never actually played it, but something tells me GUN wasn't made for educational purposes, how can mindless killing of the natives for entertainment purposes (it's a game, after all) be educational in any way?
I know, but if you think about it objectively, the PSP has done better in Europe than it has done in both Japan and the USA, so really, it was just a clever marketing plan. However i know a few people who just got their PSPs imported from japan with the better spec screen before the european release date anyway.

Yeah, i'm pretty sure they used to sell blank cartridges in Japan. I've no idea what sort of hardware you'd need to read/write to them though.
