I'm not trying to troll but why doesn't iPad require to set a minimum bar of a dual core CPU? Ok they have one branch of OS and one manufacturer but the fact is, how would setting that minimum bar of dual core guarantee a certain experience and consistency of apps? Why not at 800MHz single core? Why not quad core?

I've been using yahoo as primary email for a long time, shortly not long after it's rolled out (mid/late 90s? after mail.com 'promises' of free email and then backtrack the decision). It's been ubiquitous and very good for a long time. Last few years it's be acting up a lot a with unexplainable downtime and errors, and especially this email upgrade is just bad. The new interface and whatnot are simply unintuitive and not up to par with many bugs (e.g. after a few click you always see junk mailbox instead of the inbox). I really hope somebody like MS pick it up and I can migrate once and for all...

The decision to sell the TV bandwidth rather than just keep it for the public use (eg. super HD TV, or super multichanneling or whatever is in the future) is completely about $$$$ and greed by the Federal Govt so they can sell the bandwidth to the highest bidder.

I'm sure anyone can come up with many use cases for the spectrum. What do you mean by "public use"? Do you mean reserve it for OTA for TV stations? Those bands were never unregulated anyway. I'm not sure about the detail down south but whoever get the rights to use the spectrum needs to pay for it, just like before... I'm not commenting on whether using those band is smart or not but in terms of $$$ - what's the difference?

Exploitation of cheap labor - what comes around goes around: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_American_history#Transcontinental_railroad

For the Central Pacific Railroad, hiring Chinese as opposed to whites kept labor costs down by a third, since the company would not pay their board or lodging. This type of steep wage inequality was commonplace at the time.[30] Eventually Crocker overcame shortages of manpower and money by hiring Chinese immigrants to do much of the back-breaking and dangerous labor. He drove the workers to the point of exhaustion, in the process setting records for laying track and finishing the project seven years ahead of the government's deadline.[35]
